In case it hasn't been posted. The NRA is running a special right now where anyone can get a full life membership for $300. It used to be that you needed an existing life member to sponsor you. All you have to do is call this number 1-888-678-7894. This Promotion last until March 31, 2013.

On wednesday my mom came over and the first thing she said is "all this anti gun talk is pissing me off, should I join the NRA?". 10 minutes later she was a lifetime member.
This is a 63 year old woman who doesn't own a gun and was a lifelong Democrat until 2008.

The funny part was about 5 years ago I finally got drunk in front of her (first time I admitted to it since she stopped drinking in the 80s) and pointed out that 90% of her views were conservative. As proof she wasn't a true liberal she actually listened to my arguments and agreed with most of them.
Maybe next month i will have to spend the scratch, this month plates/insurance/ccw/xmas took its toll!

If it's still good in March I'll be getting it. Like scout mentioned, too many bills this month, and my CCW needs renewed and wife is finally getting hers. Plus, now for some reason she thinks she needs a new CCW pistol.

Tonight and tonight only I'll give two people a 1 year NRA membership (I was going to give it to ILA but I think there's just as much if not more strength in numbers than $$$). Must accept on the thread rather than PMs so I know who's really 1st and 2nd in line.
The fine print... you can't be a current member and you have to PM me your info - Name, address, phone, email and DOB and magazine you'd like (they require it and I'll delete it ASAP). If you don't trust me that's fine, don't take me up on the offer.
Now I remember why I cut back on whisky.
