Yeah, it's so over-reaching that it's a poison pill for anyone running for re-election. They'll likely use it for more of a distraction to stuff in "universal background checks" (outlawed private sales or gifts of personal property).

good news, but still need to keep our guard up. they can add riders to bills, put in amendments that restrict mags and ownership, or require background checks. I don't think they can do much about an all out ban with something like an amendment to another bill....if they try it would face a terrible legal battle and resulting death.
