EDIT: Situation resolved -- I just got notice that the camp's order was delivered this week. I have no idea why the vendor told them their order was on indefinite hold a few weeks ago and then just went ahead and delivered it without notice but we're happy to have enough to meet this summer's requirements. Many thanks to those who offered to help -- other councils (Denver Area, Longs Peak, etc.) may have a similar need. I can't repeat this enough -- MANY THANKS to those who offered to help.
I know everyone's troubled by the current ammo shortage for their own shooting requirements but am hoping I can scrounge some help in buying quantities of .22 LR and 12 GA shotgun (2 3/4 in) ammo for Camp Alexander (Pikes Peak Council). This program helps initiate new shooters so I thought perhaps I might get some cooperation from board members in finding an in-stock source (preferably near C Springs) or picking up extra ammo when they see it.
The camp will pay for the ammo (I have a copy of their tax-exemption certificate for these purchases) -- the problem is that they submitted their order for 11,000 rds of .22 LR and 13,000 rds of 12 GA in November and just now got told their order is on indefinite hold. I actually saw the ammo shortage coming and would have submitted the order sooner if I'd known they didn't have enough for the upcoming year but what's done is done. They have a limited supply in stock but this is obviously going to put a huge crimp in our instructional program for these boys if they're limited to dry-fire.
Any help in spotting ammo deliveries would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
