Buddy of mine was just listening to the scanner feed from it and apparently he stole the gun off a cop, scanner feed reset before I could get on it and listen. Sounds like it may be isolated to the cop getting shot so far. But since it was on a campus, that response is the obvious knee jerk reaction.

I keep thinking these two were set up to fail. If they were sponsored by Al Qaeda, it was to see how the US authorities were to react. For instance if these two terrorists had worn makeup and fake beards, we would not have seen their faces. yeah his twitter shows nothing to say he was crazy, going to do something, nothing. he was a smart college student who even got scholarships, had lots of friends, and had a job most people said he enjoyed, and he was a us citizen. after his brother died, look what he did. he ran home. he didn't get to his house, but he got close to it and hid. he was scared. he didn't know what to do.

if it was true his brother had a bomb on him when he died, that shows he was then ready to die for his "cause" but the younger brother was not an extremist. The older brother use to be a good boxed he might have even been able to go pro, but a little over a year ago he gave that up and became a more devout muslim. He stopped drinking and smoking, and said that he could no longer remove his shirt in public like he use to do when he boxed because that was against the teachings of islam. he was no longer seeking his citizenship, he did have a green card though. He was interviewed by the FBI back in 2011 because a foreign government sent a request for them to interview him to see if he was an extremist. he then was cleared to travel to russia where he was for 6 months before coming home.

Well, the facts are we don't know a lot of facts, except that we can be certain he committed acts of terrorism against the US by:


overtly placing at least one bomb along the marathon route.
detonated or assisted in the detonation of the bombs
participated in felony murder (at a minimum) of the MIT officer
attempted to kill numerous other police officers
placed an untold number of civilians in mortal danger
participated in a kidnapping, car-jacking and theft
attempted to flee to avoid prosecution
committed an unknown number of felony firearms and explosives offenses and other felonies

Sounds like he was an extremist to me. Maybe not to the extent of his brother but at this point that doesn't really matter. He did what he did and all of this nonsense about his rights as a US citizen might not apply depending on what Obama (or the DoJ under his direction and authority) decides his status to be: ie, enemy combatant or unlawful enemy combatant.

I was just watching CNN this morning. Looks like the Al-Queda connection is being made and the Domestic terrorism is looking a lot less likely. Apparently the Russians knew this family was an issue, the older brother was specifically being watched by the FSB and they had warned the US about their concerns.
