A Warning to All Gun Bloggers and Forums – Boston Marathon Explosions (http://www.gunsamerica.com/linker.aspx?u=0C325F62-2ABB-4E5E-8781-90F3C440DD20&c=20130417_GunBloggerWarning&l=http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/a-warning-to-all-gun-bloggers-and-forums-boston-marathon-explosions/) Please be aware that there are what we call "Bloomberg shills" lurking in the comments of gun blogs and forums at present. It has been going on since before the election, and we first noticed it as far back as our January 8th, 2012 article "2nd Amendment Voters Should Vote Ron Paul." At first it seemed like fun because they got a lively discussion going, and many of our articles have over 400 comments just because of a few anti-gun comments peppered in by a shill here and there. But as more and more of them have come in, we have begun to realize that it is better to delete them. The anti-gunners have a plan, and that plan is to make gun people look stupid, heartless, and separate from the values of mainstream America. A recent "whistleblower" post about the Boston Marathon explosions is especially troubling. If you are part of a gun blog or forum, please don't allow this post to spread, and beware that more attempts to make 2nd Amendment defenders look bad are coming.(Click Here to Read More (http://www.gunsamerica.com/linker.aspx?u=0C325F62-2ABB-4E5E-8781-90F3C440DD20&c=20130417_GunBloggerWarning&l=http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/a-warning-to-all-gun-bloggers-and-forums-boston-marathon-explosions/))

AND?? If anyone falls for a scam, their problem.

It's not a scam, it talks about liberals blogging, enrolling in pro-gun blogs, web sites, forums and antagonizing pro-gun members to lose their tempers and post entries that could be used as propaganda against the pro-gun crowd.

I saw that article a couple of days ago & commented on it @ the GunsAmerica page.

We've got 'em here & we (the staff) know it. We've had many more here before but they didn't last too long on most accounts. Those who sign up with false credentials (inaccurately listing location, etc.) get banned pretty quick. As far as the others go, we give them enough rope to hang themselves. Our members usually catch their BS posts pretty quickly & don't let them get away with the drivel they spew. Sometimes, it's actually fun to watch.

Now, can't we all just be civil? Oh! Wait a second... OH!

Yeah. All of your claimed facebook activities do a lot of good. We're all really grateful.

Who did you vote for in the 2010 and 2012 state-level elections? If you voted for Hickenloser or for any current Dem member of the legislature, you created the problem. It really is that simple.

No offense, bro, but nobody has really attacked you in this thread. A couple have bluntly told it like it is, but that's about it. You really MUST realize that politics are so polarized right now that getting a D to vote pro-gun is like trying to mix oil and water. It just isn't going to happen. Therefore, those who voted D have directly hurt our cause and contributed to the problem. Not "attacking" you here, but if you did vote D, which I have no idea if you did, the hard truth is that you contributed to the problem that you claim to be fighting against. You mention counter-productivity, but voting D in hopes of pro-2A voting is the epitome of said counter-productivity. Understand what we're trying to say here? It's pretty much the same thing as voting R in hopes of pro-abortion, anti-capitalist laws passing. It just won't happen.

It took Dems in up for election areas and dems who represent STRONG GUN CULTURE to vote against the federal UBC. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS
IF you read the comments about those D's who voted with the rest of sanity. You will see the viscous attacks against them both personally and calls for a more liberal D to oust them in 14.

BINGO... The more we can make gun rights a non partisan issue, the better off we will be. But if you tell the Dems that you will NEVER vote for them no matter what they do in regards to the 2nd Amendment, that makes them defacto against gun rights. I feel like some of the visceral hate that many people have towards the other side has only made things worse.

Visceral? Yeah pretty much at this point. I hate democrats because as a group they are trying to destroy this country and turn it into a socialist European-style nanny-state. Like a number of people here, I grew up in the 60's when a spade was a spade and you could call it like you saw it. Nowadays you have to be c-a-r-e-f-u-l what you say and where you say it. That's bullshit. I'm sick of it. These effing democrats are so proud of what they are doing to the law-abiding citizens of this country. EVERYBODY HERE KNOWS that if democrats could wave a magic wand they would take away every privately owned firearm in the country. They would take control of every major privately owned company so the gov't could spend the money those companies created in whatever way they chose. Unionize everything else. There is NO argument with any of this- we ALL know it. I HATE THEM ALL.

Jim I have not been on the site in a while. I have been battling it out more on FB on most of the large liberal pages with them. Someone needs to do it and be rational about it. People like me know how they think so I can argue them down using points they can't defeat so easily. Prime example is a mime that is circulating about the head of Nestle and how he was on record saying that access to water is not a human right. I then remind all those liberals who think that is so bad that people like that guy own our gov and one day he might get his wish. They then counter and say it will never happen and that they will collect rain water, I then point them to the laws that make that illegal now. I use this quote 10 times a day sometimes. Which I got from you guys so thank you.

"The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once." -- Justice Alex Kozinski, US 9th Circuit Court, 2003

You may not like me, but the more you have people like me on your side, that means the less people against you. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Now as to the Boston stuff... its a pile of shit. I am glad they caught the guy alive mainly to see if there is more people that guy can point to that might be plotting more things. I also respect your view point (Jim) in regards to accused rights. Tough call there.

(by pile of shit, I mean tragic and just wrong)

" Who were the Democrats who sided most often with Republicans on Wednesday? Sens. Max Baucus (Mont.), Mark Begich (Alaska), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.) and Mark Pryor (Ark.), all of whom voted against every Democratic piece of gun legislation save for a crackdown on trafficking, and for every piece of Republican gun legislation."

And

"Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.), up next year in a swing state, voted for expanding concealed-carry, against the assault weapons ban and for gun owners’ privacy but with Democrats on everything else. "

Visceral? Yeah pretty much at this point. I hate democrats because as a group they are trying to destroy this country and turn it into a socialist European-style nanny-state.

I have to agree! Not defending Dem's but give credit were credit is due.... Inside every democrat is a conservative Pube fighting to get out!!

Edit: Look what else ii found: The most anti-gun Republican was Mark Kirk of Illinois, the only member of the GOP to vote for the assault weapons ban and for the ban on high-capacity clips. He was the only Republican to vote against an expansion of concealed-carry rights. The only GOP legislation he supported was Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso’s successful amendment restricting states’ ability to release gun owners’ names and North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr’s failed effort to let veterans deemed incapable of handling their financial affairs keep their gun rights.

O and let's not forget Mc. Cain and the other two Republican defectors!

People who think that there is nothing to gain by trying to change the minds of people on the other side are just as much of a problem as the people who who are trying to ban guns. There you go again... I should be thanking you? Really? Thank you for helping to elect a body of people from a party who's OFFICIAL STANCE is anti-gun. So thank you, the mess we're in is a little of your fault. We're not trying to push people away, and if they're pushed away it's because of them, not us. You don't understand that most liberals have a "my way or the highway" mentality, do you? They want THEIR rights, but someone with a different set of principles in terms of basic freedoms, well they can go to hell. Liberals don't like something, they want to get rid of it. Perfect example: Chick-fil-a... they don't agree with the stance they take on gay marriage they don't just refuse to go there, they want the place shut down. Meanwhile, folks like me see that Regal Cinemas doesn't allow guns, so I write to them asking them to revisit this policy- they refuse, so do I work on running them out of business and out of town? No. I just don't go there and urge my friends/family to not patronize them if they're going to be anti-freedom. That's the key difference right there. You get butthurt when we point out the plain, simple, and irrefutable truth, hey, the truth hurts sometimes, grow some thick skin, rub some dirt on it, and carry on. We're only saying stop clinging to your Democratic party, there are a few we can save, but most of them are perfectly content with being anti-everything-republican, and for them, that's why I get so much use out of my middle finger. If you keep voting D you are part of the problem. I want smaller government, the Dems are all for MORE government, so wouldn't it be quite hypocritical of me to vote D if their main deal is growing government? Same applies to guns.

The extreme Right and extreme Left have a lot more in common with each other than they do with the majority, which tends towards moderate or "middle of the road." Extremists think everyone needs to be in lockstep and agree with every single one of their opinions, but the Right is wrong a third of the time, and the Left is right a third of the time, and people don't want to get 100% behind either party when they're ignoring facts and failing to modify their position to reflect reality. Extremists are destroying BOTH parties, and unfortunately they have the loudest voices and most influence on policy.

So, thanks for your facebook campaign. It did a lot of good and we're all better now.

Exactly... because for far too long people on the right have made guns into a 1 party issue. Stop doing that. You need to get D voters to be pro 2nd Amendment or we are lost. We don't need them all, we just need some.

You're wrong. The Democrats made guns into a 1 party issue. It's part of the official party platform. You can deny it all you want...doesn't make it so.

There is no such thing as a pro-gun democrat. There just isn't.

I think the last one died here: John F. Kennedy: "By calling attention to 'a well regulated militia,' 'the security of the nation,' and the right of each citizen 'to keep and bear arms,' our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy... The Second Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important." John F. Kennedy, Junior Senator of MA in a 1959 letter to E.B. Mann [From the 1974 Gun Digest, article titled Gun Laws]

I find it interesting that there is at least one other member here who admitted to voting for Obama in 2008, and the members of this site have nothing but love for this person. No one has ever said a negative thing about them, in fact everyone is constantly swinging from his, or her, ballsack because of the nice stuff this person owns.

Surely not i love said person. OR their admission came during a sever case of high dosage pain meds after either surgery # 1 or 2

I believe you do. I think many people don't read this board as often as I did at the time, and probably didn't see. I know some did though because comments were made a long the lines of, "Well, you've learned from your mistakes, welcome to the side of right."

For the record Jim, I would never accuse you of loving another member.

Did that person act like Nynco after the fact?

I don't know, as that person has never been called out. They both said they would vote differently now though.

Perhaps that is because that other person does not have every other person on this forum harassing and intimidating him like 12 year old bullies... because that is what you guys do and then blame me for fighting back.

^^^ Here is a good example of the difference. Nynco thinks he is a 12 year old being bullied.

Ok so it's been a few months and personally this is getting old. We all need to Stand United as Americans. Forget all the pety bull shit and thank God this legislative season is almost done with and get to work recalling some of these worthless politicians on both sides of the isle.
