I start clearing out of the Army today! In 10 business days I will finally be living with my wife and daughter again. I haven't been able to live with them for over a year. Today is a beautiful day.

Thanks guys. So when I move back to Texas, can I still come over and play here?
Good luck out here. I hope your transition is smooth and worry free. Thanks for serving.

You'd damned well better come back - regularly and often! (But you will need to update your location in your profile - just sayin')
Thank you for your sacrifice and service - as well as that of your family. Forced separations from the family are difficult at best, but made more so when you're CONUS. Been there, done that. The best part of retiring was that no one could ever FORCE me to go someplace I didn't want to be ever again.
Be sure to give the family our thanks for their sacrifices too. Without the support of our families, we could never do what we know needs to be done.

Of course! Feels good doesn't it. Just be sure to remember, MAKE SURE YOUR DD214 HAS EVERYTHING! Trust me, it takes forever and a lot of paperwork to get something put on there that got left out. Don't just double check, quadruple check that bastard. But congrats! After I cleared Ft. Drum and was "officially" a civilian, I went to my BN CSM and called him by his first name and shook his hand. He got a kick out of that. [Beer]
