I leave tomarrow for Kansas who else is going bird hunting? I will get some pics we always do really well.
I do a lot of upland hunting in KS around Hays. What part do ya hunt?
I've only hunted the WIA's in CO. The NR license in KS is too pricey for me. Never much luck, but I still love going.

I hunt around Tribune and I must say next year KS is going back to the second weekend thank god. Nothing was cut the birds were ass to ass in the corn and milo but I still had a great time we just did not do so well.
Normally we have 30-40 birds in the truck by lunch on saturday this year we ended up with 9 for the whole friggen weekend. I am going to go back later this month when everything is cut and I pray it is much colder.
I heard they got a ton of rain lately and they won't be able to get the milo in for some time due to the moisture in it.
I have never made it for opening weekend. My father in laws place is crawling with family, so I just skip it. I have a 3 week old boy at home, so not sure how much hunting will get done this year. I don't think my hunting dog will be speaking to me after this season.
We've been going to Brush CO. for the past few years and I'd like to go again this season if scheduling works out.

That's where my dad and I go every year. He got a rooster this time, a record for both of us. ;) Closer to Yuma is much better though.
Went out to Burlington last week and only came up with 1 bird. We didn't have a dog and they were launching pretty far ahead of us. I caught the only straggler.
Might try Nebraska or kansas this coming week and see what happens out there.
