Im guessing the answer is no, but if you have evidence to the contrary, I would like to see it.

They're just covering their asses and trying to prevent further harassment by pissed off citizenry. The Quran allows them to lie to infidels without facing repercussions. It's called Altaqiyya...

CAIR can kiss my ass. They can claim "peaceful religion" all they want...I don't buy it.

Exactly. Any apology by a Muslim group is just lip service and CYA.
Fuck CAIR. That's all I have to contribute to this conversation. [AR15]
By your derogatory spelling of the word muslim, I'd guess your mind was already made up, and you wouldn't accept any proof of a denouncement anyways. Not that it matters. We don't hear the Vatican denouncing murders committed by Christians.

Not many Christians kill in the name of the Baby Jesus, that's why.
When was the last time someone walked into a mall, yelled "Christ is my lord and savior" and proceeded to blow themselves and a number of civilians up?

Wow. This went full retard in a hurry.
There is a slight difference between an adherent of a particular religion committing violent crimes and an adherent of a particular religion committing violent crimes in the name of that religion.

Like Catholics and Protestants blowing each other's civilians up in Northern Ireland?

Interesting article. But I trust the muslim Brotherhood about as much as I trust liberals/democrats.
Well that's just not true. I probably trust the Brotherhood more than that.
To be fair, I should chime in here and state that yes, so-called "Christians" have murdered many, many people over the years in the name of Jesus. I AM a Christian, so I don't have an axe to grind here toward Christians. The difference is that Christianity doesn't have anywhere in it's tenets, a doctrinal commission (or even permission) to kill other religions or people. The Bible is explicit in showing that the times in which God truly instructed His people to kill, that it was a one-time edict specific to a situation - not a carte blanche pass to kill anybody a Christian decides is an infidel. When people murder in the name of God, they're doing it without Biblical support, and at their eternal risk.

Then why aren't they all doing it? Kill an infidel, get killed, go to paradise. You'd think they'd be lining up.

To describe violence in Northern Ireland solely on the basis of religion is simplistic and non-productive, much the same way as looking at Sunni vs Shia violence as only an internal religious dispute being naive.
Maybe for the same reason that every Christian out there isn't necessarily out evangelizing, even though it's specifically one of the core tenets of the faith... there are varying degrees of adherence to any religion. If a Christian lives his life to the literal letter of the instructions Christ gave for living, they become more peaceful.

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of them, now does there?
Although, Dear Leader may just have it all wrapped up in one convenient package. :-)

I wish democrats were in the habit of blowing themselves up. Maybe if we convince democrats to convert to the muslim faith...

I agree that the violence in Northern Ireland is a complex issue, but it's hard to deny that civilians of certain religions were deliberately targeted because of their religion. We should also take into account that Islam is 600 years younger than Christianity, and I'd say Christianity during the 1500s-1600s was pretty bloody.

Now I ask in a nice way, I said pretty please, I bent their ears,

Hey, Torquemada, walk this way
We got a little game that you might wanna play
So pull that handle, try your luck
Who knows, Torq, you might win a buck!
Alright!
Put it in the car (in the car x2)
How we doing? Any converts today?
Not a one, nay, nay, nay
We've flattened their fingers
We branded their buns
Nothing is working
Send in the nuns!
The Inquistion, what a show
The Inquistion, here we go
We know you're wishing
That we'd go away
So, c'mon you Moslems and you Jews
We got big news for all of yous
You better change your point of views today
'Cause the Inquistion's here and it's here to stay
People tend to be violent. Religious people are first and foremost people. See the first sentence.
Some people use whatever excuse they find convenient to justify their behavior.
To the original point of the post, I don't care what people say and see CAIR as the propaganda arm of Muslims in the USA. They lobby the media and politicians to garner influence much like every other lobbyist group in this country. I don't hold that against them. There are plenty of other groups just like CAIR who represent all sorts of groups and interests including Christianity.
I will add here that Jesus Christ never commanded an army and never led followers into battle. Muhammad certainly did command an army and did lead followers into battle. If followers of Christ are following, they are not killing those who disagree with what they have been taught. If followers of Muhammad are following what they have been taught...
Be safe.

I have said it before and coming from someone that is a mixed bag when the topic does include religion......
I can almost guarantee that to a man anyone that has done time in the sandbox has an opinion on the Muslim religion and it will not be favorable. Just saying. [gohome]
Does it take someone screaming, "Jesus died for your Sins! as a drone fires an AGM into your extended families home killing everyone in it for a person to think that maybe you are being targeted because of your religion? The Christian Faith is full of some of the most generous and uplifting acts the human race has seen, as well as some of the darkest. I do not think a cheerlead score card is going to do anyone proper service.

And tithing. And wasted Sunday mornings. And covered dish suppers. Wait, I like covered dish suppers.
CAIR should be classified as a terrorist organization, they give support to the radical muslim jihadists, unfortunately this administration will do nothing about them.

Irrelevant to the current culture and climate. Christianity hasn't been a scorge on humanity lately... Sure the Spanish Inquisition, Crusades, et al. was a dark time perpetrated by the Christian faith, but that was long ago... Islomb has been bloody, violent, and intolerant for how long? Since it's inception, and a lot of the faith still is today! I get really sick when people constantly try to paint everything with one big brush, it's not that simple and please, stop blaming all religions when one is the big, sore thumb, problem (Mooselimbs)- see here (http://www.ar-15.co/threads/100559-Adam-Carolla-hits-the-nail-on-the-head-criticism-on-Islam)
Sure there are problems caused by small groups of other religions, but it's usually only one church (WBC) and not several, or even whole countries (see Iran, Pakistan, etc).
