As long as our government and media keep repeating that myth, they can continue to convince our fellow citizens that they need not protect themselves or be responsible for themselves because the government is going to fix the problem once they figure out what the problem is. Guns, pressure cookers, sports, video games, movies, missing mommy, missing daddy, not enough money, not enough opportunity and so on. If we can just get our government to fix these things, we'll all be safe.

Alot of us around here are either stubborn or have enough life experience to be set in our ways. There is a very concise and complex information war raging via our media to control the thinking of everyone else.
