Hello All, Noob mistake on my part: I have a Beretta 96FS and recently purchased a 92F Italian made slide/barrel so that I could swap from 40 cal to 9mm. I didn't learn until after the slide came that the F model slide will not fit onto the FS base. The hammer pin is much larger on the FS model. Ive scoured the internet for a 92F hammer pin, however they stopped making them after the FS series was introducted due to M9 frames cracking into the faces of Navy Seals when using high power loads. I ordered a new hammer pin to be ground down, however if there are any skilled gunsmiths that can make the groove for the slide safety, I'd rather update my F slide into the FS.

Could anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you
