Thoughts on Magpul midlength handguards? I am getting my mid length PSA upper tomorrow. Thinking of checking it out.

If you're looking for something easy to install, light weight, and don't care too much about modularity, they're great. I had some carbine length ones that didn't fit a rifle very well, lots of wiggle in them. The mid-length I have on my latest build fits up really tight though.

I've got them on my carbine and dissy. For cheap and lightweight, they can't be beat. The options for sling mounts and light mounts are limited unless you want to start bolting rails to it.

Compared to standard handguards they are pretty awesome. Compared to just about anything else they aren't much better than standard handguards.

I have them mounted on an upper. You're welcome to come check it out tomorrow sometime and see what you think.

I like them over standard hand guards. That said I run free floats on all of my ARs and the magpul is not free float. Just person preference.
