Is there a site-sponsored effort to migrate firearms listings in the trading post over to Backpage's Denver firearms Buy/Sell/Trade area?

I was contacted this morning via email requesting permission to add my trading post listing over to Backpage's area. I declined, but was wondering if this was something that was sponsored or if it is just an enterprising individual.

Nope, sounds like someone is trying to scam you, maybe use your info to scam someone else.

Thats not something we would support. SO this was obviously a member here if they can see the trading post. Members have to be here 30 days before the can see the TP, s to link and ad somewhere else would be worthless.

Correct, it would have to have been a member here that could see the trading post listings.

He was offering to duplicate my ad on backpage. He appears to work for backpage.

I hope he steps up and explains himself...

Do you have anything listed on Armslist?
I had them contact me about an ad on there, but never on here.

Nope-nothing on armslist. actually, I just realized that the rifle he was inquiring about was listed on RMGO a few weeks back, so he probably pulled it from there and not from here.

So, my apologies for the false alarm-I would speculate that he got my ad from RMGO, which is publicly viewable, rather than from here.

That makes more sense ;)

Was it Kelly H. that sent you the email?

It is from your RMGO ad.
