I have been using Strelok, and it so far has worked well. I know there are some other Ballistics apps out there and was wondering what others are using and which they are not and why.
I like Strelok because it is relatively easy for me to use and so far has done all I needed an app to do. In a perfect world it would have the exact reticle as my scope (Burris MTAC 6-21) and would have a database of common projectile coefficients, weights, etc. such as the 168 SMK, Nosler Ballistic tips, etc. Might be asking too much from an app though.
Ballistic AE is what I use. It has an extensive library of both bullets and loads. I wouldn't change if someone gave me another app for free.

Unfortunately, I do not use an Iphone...
I use Strelock+ and Shooter. Both work well for the money. I wish they would solve for BC, but I have ATrag-esque software on my computer for that.

I use strelok. Easy enough to look up the BC. All of my reticles are included and its free.

Installed Shooter on my phone last night, so far seems nice, but I have not had an opportunity to try it on the range.
Strelok is fine, just wish they had my exact reticle ;)
Now all I need is a chrono app for my phone that allows some sort of USB hardware to feed chrono data right into the phone app....

So I punched in my info on this "Strelok" app, and it was pretty dead on nuts on target with elevation from 600 out to 800 yards, wow!
I was shooting pulled rounds so it was sh*t going out further pass 800 yards.
It was my first time messing with this stuff, but I now see the actual benefits of having one of these ballistic calculators.
.. but I've yet to try it on 10 or 20 yard increments
I use Shooter but can only estimate the FPS with factory ammo published specs and adjust for my barrel lengths and it's still pretty dam close.
If I can get things dialed in with a chrono, I believe it would improve greatly.

I don't have that barrel lengths and twist option on my Strelok... just get to enter in the bullet speed in f/s.
I would love to see these high priced Ballistic calculators at work... like the stuff they used in that Magpul precision shooting video they made.
It's pretty cool seeing how this all works and watching things match up with rifle data taken out in the field.

You need to look at shooter.
Lots of cool features for little money. I can usually pick up the weather station info at BLGC and factor that in as well, but it still doesn't make me shoot better, just makes me better informed. I think all the DOPE you can get builds your skills. I just wish I could go shoot more.

I probably don't understand but Shooter has BC editing. I put in all the details and it's on the money.

I'll look into it and compare notes [Beer]

The best. In my opinion. Not an app, but print out different density altitudes and keep them with you.

Ballistic AE is the shit. It enables a dummy like me to hit my intended target if I do my part.
The app creator, Jonathan Zdziarski, is always updating it and incorporating great new features. It's worth every penny.

I use Field Firing Solutions and Shooter. I'm still playing with them but think the Field Firing Solution is a better program.
