Just wanted to mention (as a dealer) that I have seen CBI background check wait times skyrocket to record levels this past week due to volume so please be patient and understanding for any local purchases at any store or dealer.

Average CBI wait time for background check has been 1 to 2 hrs. at any given time over the last week which is not normal (but expected) and assume this trend will continue for awhile so please plan accordingly.

What a shame, the man who is supposed to unite us, is actually dividing us even more than before....I'm only 28, but this is the most divided i've ever seen this nation, and my pops agrees. My pops made me a Republican, and i'm damn proud of it. He's lived in CA for over 30 years, and anyone that says all CA residents are libs, fuck off.

Thanks for the heads up Dave. Can't wait to get my GSG-5 next week, guess we'll have a good conversation! I can always go home while it processes since you're 2 minutes from me :D

have a friend of mine that's from CA- SLO area... he's a "muralist"...(artist who paints murals)... one of the ones he's done was for Mantiques down in Florence... I should post a picture of it... he does great work...

So he's an artist from California that's a conservative republican-

I've caught all kinds of stereotypes when people find out I'm from Alaska- so I know what you mean..

Not surprised. There was an article on the denver post talking about this also.

I put a CW40 on layaway late Tuesday to help add to the stats showing Coloradans can read and understand a very simple sentence with "Shall not be infringed.."

California is a hidden believer state. They have more hunters and firearms owners than any other state in the country, but no one will admit to it, because the liberals are so whacked there, that hunters fear being physically threatened. I know this because I lived there for quite a few years till I escaped. I still have family that lives there. Hard core conservatives.

Yup 2 hours today for a stripped lower-Can't even imagine what it's like on the other end of the phone for those doing the actual check.

just under 3 hours today, 240 waiting for cbi when they put me in, 315 when I was done.

ha! I did all my buying before the election. When supply was readily available. I saw this coming. Everyone should have. They just waited to long to react.

Didn't have the money then, or I would have. I'm finally done with paying off the wife's medical bills and am ready to go shopping. I'm thinking about a road-trip to Jensen's.

Am I doing the math right are there are about 2000 purchase applications a day? Each application has at least 1 gun but the times I've been in the local shop one guy bought 2 and another 4 on the same 4473.

So if Colorado is selling around 2000+ guns a day and mulitply by 50 states is the country buying something like 100,000 a day. Heck maybe Cali and Texas are buying that many themselves.

If that is true I hope the f%^&^*g libs are pissing down their leg at the numbers and may think twice about enacting anymore gun control. Maybe that's the change we've been waiting for no more gun control. Yeah right!

The gun sales are only half the numbers. Ammo sales are through the roof also. Almost everyone that comes into the shop buys at least 2 boxes of ammo and many are buying cases if available.

Yup, it was like 517 around 2pm ish. It was like almost 3hrs waiting period.

Yeah, I filled one out late Friday night, had to come back the next day and there was still an hour wait at 9am......

Wednesday evening there were ~550 people in line on InstaCheck...wait times of 1-2 hours for the rest of the week...

I bought 3 stripped receivers earlier this week at The Firing Line...

National news did a piece on firearms sales the other night and said Colorado had a 1500 CBI check in one day.
