View Full Version : **MILE HIGH DEFENSIVE FIREARMS TRAINING .22lr AMMO GIVEAWAY**
EDITED TO ADD MORE AMMO!!!!!!! THANKS TO THE INCREDIBLE OUTPOURING OF OUR FANTASTIC MEMBERS.
Ok, here is the deal. With the shortage of ammo out there and more importantly almost no 22lr ammo anywhere I am worried that there might be kids out there that are going to miss out on an opportunity to get out and shoot, perhaps their first time to get out might need to be passed up because there is no .22 ammo to be found.
We have all seen the shortage and felt the repercussions from it and I hate to think that a young new shooter out there may miss out on being able to go out and shoot for their first time, we have seen that the Boy Scouts, the 4H the DOW and who knows who else has had to cancel kids shooting events, this hurts me to see. I already donated some ammo to the boy scouts so they could do some shooting too.
On a separate note, you folks that have posted up $20 boxes of .22lr ammo for $50+ you should be ashamed of yourself and remember karma is a bitch. Its disgusting and you know who you are and shame on you.
So, its not a lot ad its not the best ammo but its one box that I can spare.
Ok, anyway off my soap box. Here are the requirements.
This has to be used to take a child out shooting and must be enjoyed in a family environment. After you win and take out the child we want to see pics of the event, you can blur out faces if you like but we want to be sure the ammo was used as intended.
All you need to do is post up that you are in and that you will be using it for; your son, daughter, niece, nephew, brother, sister, neighbor...etc. you get the point.
I will pick a winner randomly on Thursday in hopes you can use it this weekend to take out your special little one.
** edit**
So there was an anonymous donation of another box of 550 ammo so that will go to someone here in the Denver Area also.
Jim has generously donated .22lr ammo also and he will be taking care of a northsider
Andrew(RedDogFabrication) has also been extremely generous and offered up some ammo for a Southsider.

Ok, I'll start.
My 8 yo stepson was lucky enough to win one of pickenup's .22 rifles right around Christmas. We're just waiting for the snow to melt up here to get him all suited up in eyes and ears for his first shoot. He can't freaking wait! He asks me almost every day when we are going. So cool.
This is him at his birthday party getting his .22.

So myself and my wife really like what you have going on here and there is no reason to keep the winnings to only first place so, here is our contribution to the pot it's what I could put together. It's a a verity 200 rounds total. Just let me know who I need to send it to or if you can pick it up in the Castle Rock area that works too.

I would like to enter on behalf of Calla (http://www.ar-15.co/threads/87127-First-time-shooting-a-quot-real-quot-pistol?highlight=joeyshoe). My daughter will be 7 this summer and is very interested in the shooting sports. She is saving up for a Savage Rascal as her first firearm. Thanks to everyone for supporting the next generation!

Great move by our folks. Wouldn't it be nice if more Americans were like this?

They are....but they are forced by the government and then the recipients are not chosen at random!
Nice!

I am in, I will be taking out Jaiden, he is 11 and the son of a young single mom, he has never been shooting before and is very eager to learn, his mom went once last year and now is hooked and has agreed to let me start teaching him. He will be a great addition to the four other boys I will be continuing this year. My grandson, who will be here for the summer soon, and my three grand nephews, (Mathew 7, Vini 7, Taylor 7, and Albi 8 ) Thanks to all that have contributed in advance. Its going to be a good summer, I truly enjoy teaching the young ones.
This is awesome. My son is due at the end of June and I am hoping he comes out of the womb already knowing how to shoot.
I would like to throw in a box of 333 rounds as well. I am up in the Westminster area. If any of the winners would like some help making sure the young ones keep the open end pointed down range I would love to help.
Thanks again Spleify for organizing this.
This is awsome. I took my daughter shooting for her first time a few weeks ago and its a day i will never forget. She is ready to go back as soon as the weather permits. Im sure this ammo will go to a deserving kid. You guys rock!
Thanks so much for everyones generosity

I would like to enter so my son Vinny (7) will have the chance to shoot my/our 10-22 on mothersday weekend. I currently have 15 rounds of 22lr in my safe. Yep, only 15 single rounds. Very sad as he gets to see my several cases of various handgun and large rifle ammo in there.
Thanks Spliefy for the opportunity. This forum is fantastic.!!!!

I'm in my 12 year old has been asking for me to teach him to shoot for a while now. He has heard the stores of my 6th birthday when my grandfather gave me my first .22 for my birthday. I think a .22 shoot day would be alot better for him then getting him out on my AR.
I am getting excited about this!
Thanks again to everyone!
Few more hours and I will start picking!!

Im in!!!!!I would use it on the 11th of May for NRA Women on target.
I'd throw my hat in the ring, but in all fairness, I'm probably going to just bring some birdshot and my 12 gauges for the practice session in two weeks. Then break out the 9mm's for relief when their shoulders are all banged up. :-)
This is a really great deal you have going here - some deserving kids are gonna have a great time thanks to you. :-)
Sorry for the delay everyone.
I am trying to sort through this all and make some good decisions
I will post up on Friday.
We had another generous NothSider donate some ammo. Thanks to wctriumph for donating also.
Next post will be the winners!
Oh yeah baby the stars must be aligned today!!!!!
Winners all around
Stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
