So, I sighted in my home built AR up at the north site today. She actually worked flawlessly - 180 rounds, no jams, bad primers, nothing! Except... 2 of my Magpul mags failed to engage the bolt catch. After further inspection, I found plastic chips out of the backside of the 2 problematic magazines. See photos below:

2 mags, and chips:

1 "normal" mag"

The 2 "normal" mags engaged the bolt catch when empty, every time. The other 2 failed to engage the bolt catch. I bought the 2 paris of magpul mags from 2 separate online retailers. When I got the second set from retailer #2, I admit I thought they looked a little "off". The depth of the text imprint seemed shallow compared to the "working" pair, and does not "stick out" as much (if that makes any sense).

Could this possibly be a set of bogus knock-off mags? What should I do here? Call Magpul, or the small retailer I scored them from in Michigan? I'd appreciate and advice you guys can provide!
