Check out Daniel Kagan's latest imposition into your life:

http://cohousedems.com/bipartisan-public-safety-bill-gets-strong-support/

The bill "allows a law enforcement agency to direct an employee of cellular service provider to provide location information of a person without a court order."

The law enforcement agency must have probable cause to believe that an emergency situation exists and the time required to obtain a search warrant or other court order would exacerbate the risk of death or serious bodily injury to the person or another person within his or her company. Additionally, the bill requires that law enforcement seek a court order demonstrating the information was acquired legally to prevent abuse.

I can't imagine this would be abused, or even expanded in the future, can you?

or, just don't carry it where you don't want to be tracked. or, put it somewhere you want it to be tracked, but not you. or, got pre-paid.

I suppose the bill will get an innocuous name like, "Emergency transponder bill," or "911GPS bill," or "Patriot Act," so we don't even feel it no matter how deeply it cuts.

Too many people watching 24 and hoping for that one instance. This has similarities to our gun issue in that guns are a 1% issue that is treated like a majority of us will face it.... All in the name of "saving a single life". Our rights are not worth a single life. Many have been sent to their death to protect our rights and that should not only be the duty of the armed services.

One of the most intelligent fucking statements I've heard all year concerning gun laws.
