View Full Version : Magpul AK Mags.
Looks interesting... Wonder if they are going to reinforce the locking tab on the back of the mag with metal. Metal feed lips would be nice as well.

Too bad they won't be able to be owned in Colorado.

That one doesn't count. It was posted in the wrong section...[goFyourself]
We need to send Magpul some emails asking them to do a early release to CO residents so we can legally own them.

They cannot fill pmag orders now. They sure as hell are not geared up for an onslaught of AK mag orders this late in the game. Wishful thinking. And i call ya [grab]

I'll stick to the steel surplus mags, never had a single issue is any of mine, plus if you dent one, you can fix it, if something gets bent, you can fix it, if there is a hole in it, you can fix it...etc. When polymer mags are broken, they're broken.
Too much hype without much logic behind it IMHO. If the locking tab and feed lips were steel I might consider one for range use maybe, but I just don't see the reason behind it.
I weighed an AK Norinco 30 round .223 mag at 10.8 ounces. A Galil Orlite 35 round mag weighted 5.6 ounces.
I kinda prefer the Iron mags myself.

I would have liked to be able to buy a couple of these just to support Magpul... oh well. I'm sure mil surplus ones will serve me just fine.
