Made an order on the 21st, my package has since taken an adventure in Colorado. How hard is it to get to Loveland....[facepalm]

Funny, mine has been going like this:

26945
Sender has been going nuts since he sent it -- great guy to do business with because he's been more concerned than I have about it getting here.

I HATE to have anything sent by USPS!!! I bought a BUIS from HOSER last year... 2 weeks later, it says lost during delivery. Hoser lost $150 out of his pocket.

I blame the unions for sure on this one.

On a serious note when I choose midway shipping for USPS it always does the same thing you are dealing with!

I don't ship anything of any importance via USPS.
I have paid UPS, $13 to mail a letter (aka check) to Denver....twice, two separate occasions.
I wanted it there the next day and it was. You get what you pay for!

Look at it this way. You got your money's worth on the postage charges.

We send our business packages USPS. If the wrong address is on them...bad news. That is why you should use the verification system on USPS. We send all over the world and have had fewer issues with USPS than some of the other shippers.

I saw one of these from an old college roommate who had a package make it to his state (GA), but then all of a sudden turn up in NJ, then TN and back to GA before making it to his place. Sucks. It took 2 weeks longer.

I try and use UPS whenever possible. USPS just sucks, and I swear the FEDEX guy must watch my place from down the street and wait until I leave before attempting drop off (real pain in the ass to get anything needing a signature). UPS is just much more reliable, and re-routing items to pick up at a UPS store (like the new BGC/Upper/etc. that just shouldn't be sitting for hours on the porch) is the best thing since sliced bread.

The whole leaving stuff on the porch thing bugs the hell out of me. Another reason I don't use the others.

USPS needs to go under.. Pure proof of their incompetence is shown by the OP. Let FedEx and UPS take over, and the displaced workers can be hired on by either firm. Not saying it will be easy, but a 2 Billion loss every year is proof it's time to end it.

They actually lost almost 16 billion in 2012. That number makes my teeth hurt. I bet they could just close the offices and sell the land, no one under 50 would care. Japan privatized and it worked out. I beleive it is illegal for anyone but USPS to deliver regular letters. Either way they didn't even want to stop delivering on saturdays to save a buck. I still see BIG signs on certain larger offices letting me know they're hiring.

UPS and FedEx would go out of business in a week if they were run like USPS runs ship.

I have had good luck with the USPS, not so much with UPS. Fedex, OK I guess. With the volumes they all handle, it's a wonder that ANYTHING gets delivered correctly and on time.

Yep. I'd rather use the PO than either UPS or FedEx. Especially FedEx. I hate FedEx Ground.

but then who would subsidize UPS and Fed-Ex?

I've had similar experience and get especially pissed when it's a UPS hand-off that USPS then fucks up.

To their credit, they quickly tracked down a package I dropped in a self service kiosk without a delivery or return address and got it to it's destionation without cycling back through the system. Yup, I slapped the label on, and then got distracted with a call. I realized after I dropped it in the box that I hadn't addressed it. A few calls in the morning and it was on it's way to the recipient. The guy that was helping even hopped a truck to the sort facility to find it. Key was to start at the local PO and not the 800 number. I think if the worker bees got to run things, it might be different.

Ups and FedEx are ten times better.
