Friend --

This is huge: More than 600,000 Americans have already signed our petition to Congress demanding action to prevent gun violence.

If you haven't signed the petition yet, make sure you do that right now:

http:// my.barackobama.com/ Sign-the-Petition

But we're not stopping at 600,000. So this weekend, folks in Fort Collins are getting together to ask their friends and neighbors to sign on and make their voices heard, too. Will you help out?

https:// my.barackobama.com/page/ event/detail/ gskj2y

Here are the details:

What: Petition drive in Fort Collins
Where: College Avenue at Mountain Avenue
Fort Collins, CO 80524
When: Saturday, May 4th 10:00 am

RSVP now: https:// my.barackobama.com/page/ event/detail/ gskj2y

Something you should know about this petition: It's not just addressed to the Senate. We're letting everyone in Congress know that we will hold them accountable -- they have the power to do something real to help prevent gun violence, and we won't let them get away with refusing to act.

OFA will be personally delivering the petition signatures to congressional leaders next week -- so there's still time to sign it:

http:// my.barackobama.com/ Sign-the-Petition

Come out on Saturday to make sure people who care about reducing gun violence where you live get a chance to sign this petition:

https:// my.barackobama.com /page/ event/detail/ gskj2y

It's all hands on deck. Thanks for being a part of this.

Show up with a clipboard and your own petition, and just blend end getting signatures.

What is the legality of dumping a clip board full of signatures into the toilet or a near by body of water? Besides it being a super Dick move, is it illegal?

Either that or pump it full of BS names.

I don't know, but it if draws controversy, which side do you think will be presented in the news?

Either that or pump it full of BS names.

BO is a Chicago politician, and his administration is similarly chock full of Illinoisans, pumping things full of BS names is a game they like to play, and would only further their cause. Now, flyering the neighborhoods with the truth before this event hits, and asking people not to sign their petitions, that would be a way to score some win. Time is short though.

If someone could get OFA voluteers to circulate Dem recall petitions, that would be a two-fer of cool.

If I did not have to work I would follow the petition people around and tell people that if they sign they are for killing Jews and minorities just like Hitler did. I want to fight these creeps but everything always happens on a Saturday and I absolutely have to work on Saturdays.

Well we sure as hell don't want the media portraying gun-owners in a bad light.

I'd like an answer to this... I would love to grab the clipboard, take their signature sheet, and then proceed to make sure my rear end is extra clean... [Muaha]

Yep, there are two sets of rules and standards. Unfortunately, our side has the tougher standards to uphold.

Might be considered vandalism or what ever oddball obscure law a left leaning DA would charge you with.

Now spilling a drink while reviewing and or putting "your name" on it is different.

I'm thinking about a mochacino or whatever the hell those fruits drink ... all the rich darkness of espresso and the nasty smell of milk after it spoils ...

Well, I was wondering if there was some constitutional law against it or something. Since I assume what they are doing is a form of the First Amendment.

I went down to visit the demonstration, to get my fair share of abuse. What I found was two successive sets of folks standing on one corner, asking people to sign their petition for background checks for gunshows and internet sales. One guy seemed reasonable, at least in conversation, but of course he had his biases. The best was the second set. I couldn't even get the woman to engage in conversation once she found out I was pro-gun. She said "if even one child is saved..." and I cut her off there. "If you really thought saving children was important you'd be asking me to sign a petition against private ownership of swimming pools". At that point she turned away, put her hands over her ears and walked quickly away, saying, "I can't talk to someone who hates children".

Its Obama's reelection organization repurposed into his little group of cultists. What's hilarious is how fast their base is evaporating post election.

Who the hell is OFA?

Organizing For Action. I have attended their meetings and they are the ENEMY of freedom. The meeting leaders are young idealistic "organizers" and are well trained in how to promote bigotry and make the people at the meetings feel that they have a almost Holy cause to attack and force their bigotry on others in the name of "fairness". They are slick and precise and know how to push the right buttons. If the meeting is younger persons they push ideals on how the US immigration policy is racist and how republicans are behind the new intellectual way of thinking about things, on how the US owes them a living by taxing the rich. For older persons it is the health care angle and how they have a right to "free" health care now that they are at the age where they will need more care. The leaders I have met have all worked with groups in other states, this one guy I met came from AZ because they were not making any ground there and wanted to make sure that they can hold onto Colorado.
