Following through on their promise to leave the state if Colorado were to pass new gun control laws including a magazine capacity limit, Magpul is shifting their manufacturing out of the state (http://www.dailycamera.com/erie-news/ci_23139158/erie-based-magpul-begins-making-ammunition-magazines-outside).
From now on, not a single magazine will be manufactured or assembled in Colorado. ”We have started making PMAGs outside CO for the first time ever. The sights are made outside CO. We are actively moving forward with moving other items out.”
Magpul had originally planned to include more details about the shift but it coincided with the Boston Marathon bombing, and as such, they’re waiting for a better time to talk shop (https://www.facebook.com/magpul/posts/588404997838520).
“We had some communications regarding our pending move and the process of choosing our new locations to put out this week, but the events in Boston make this a poor time for that, and we will hold off those announcements until later. Our support is with the residents and first responders who are dealing with the tragedy of loss and the fractured lives created by the acts perpetrated by these evil individuals. Stay alert out there … there are many in this world who wish harm on our society. Meet them with strength so as to discourage their ilk from attempting to prey on others.”
Magpul has not disclosed where they have relocated to, although previously they said they were looking at a neighboring state (http://www.guns.com/2013/02/26/the-state-of-colorado-part-ii-magpul/).

Our business man's governor don't give a shit about that. Maybe we could make it back on industrial hemp. Only good thing I can see about that whole thing. These dumbasses can't even legalize dope right.

Our law makers are MUCH more interested in promoting POT and GAY MARRIAGE along with anti gun laws.[Mad]

With all those that talk like they are smack in the middle of the Colorado firearms industry on this forum I'm shocked someone doesn't come forward with what state a good-sized company like Magpul moved to. Oh I'm sure everyone knows but are just keeping it to themselves [pick-me]

We'll all be much safer with MagPul making those high-capacity massacre clips somewhere else.

Yeah - just when they emailed to say they were coming out with new PMAG 30 Mags for AK's at the END OF SUMMER!
That's a bummer! After July 1st!

We went about the gay thing all wrong.

What we should have done was to go to the gay marriage event at the Webb Building the other night, and hand out Pmags as wedding presents.

"What the hell is this?"

"It's a box with a spring in it. And if this were July 1st, it'd be not more than 18 months in jail for you for taking it when I handed it to you."

(20-round magazines only. That is in Denver, after all, and we would want to scrupulously obey every bad idea that the City, County, and State of Denver sees fit to put into writing.)

You guys just don't seem to get it. You CAN'T go to a different state and bring super-huge capacity magazine amminishun clips back into CO. It's impossible. It's against the law. Nobody can do that.

Glad they followed through. Hopefully the lawmakers responsible feel the pain.

Well for the AK mags which won't be available until after July 1, it would be very easy to prove that you aquired them after the ban went into affect. Not to mention they probably have the date stamp on them like every other Pmag I have seen. Then you go to jail if you are caught with one. AR mags though, well there are plenty of those out there with dates that are prior to July 1. Can't go to jail for that.

Stupid has a price!

Yes it does. They call it a 35% tax on weed. So what if 400 immediate workers and hundreds more sub contract places are gone. IT'S 35% TAX DUDE do the math. They're woofing down munchies over at hicks, as we bitch.

Legal weed is so much more important than a Constitutional right.

Ummm...weed IS a constitutional right now. At least in Colorado. It's amazing to see how the democrats are pissing all over themselves to make sure the right to weed doesn't get infringed. Wish they were that conscientious about all constitutional rights.
