My son, estranged CO-AR15 member LoneWolf18 (http://www.ar-15.co/members/4738-LoneWolf18), just passed his certification tests to officially be an EMT. He still needs to take his National Certification tests, but can't do that until his fingerprints are registered with the FBI (submitted them about a month ago).
As a congratulatory gift, I presented him with his first AR15 (with 5 - Gen M3 PMAG's) which I've spent the last 2 years acquiring parts to assemble. (Special thanks to Mazin for assembling the LPK into the lower for me!)
He's one thrilled EMT!
That is just wonderful, tough training and a tough job at times. Congratulations to your son and he is probably on cloud 9 with his new found toy.

Congrats! [Beer]
Congrats to him! Hopefully he can find a job. My little brother became an EMT only to find he couldn't get a job. So he ended up going back to school and became an RN.

Very good news!
Congrats!
That is excellent news! Congratulations to your son, and may say, what a terrific gift. How many of us can say, "My Dad made this for me?" ;)
Tell him a bunch of guys he never met are proud of him!
BTW That rig looks Sweeeet!
Tell your son congrats to the start of a great career. My son went down the same career track, EMT Basic to Intermediate then on to Paramedic, now he is going through firefighter training and should graduate in June.

My son plans the same route- through the paramedic thing, but has no desire to be a firefighter. He said he may eventually go RN or PA though.

Tried talking my son to going the RN route but he likes working outdoors more, and since he was already a vol firefighter when the chance came up for him to go full time, he jumped on it.

Congrats to him on both!
I worked my way through college as an EMT. There are tons of things about it I miss, the job definitely has fun moments!
