Food Oddities

I think that's what you would call it. If you have other non food oddities that are similar throw them in.

Example:

I don't like avocados but love guacamole. I like spaghetti and spaghetti sauce but I don't like them together.

From my childhood- Milk and licorice don't go together.

I can't stand most veggies cooked but will eat them raw. Except for tomato's, If I eat them raw I get sick but if they're cooked in a sauce or something I fine with them and I like them.

As with a lot of people here I just can't do tomatoes. I'll eat them when mixed into a meal like chili, spaghetti sauce, I even love tomato soup. But when it comes to just eating tomatoes in a salad or on a burger and I just can't do it. I think it's a texture thing for me that fuels my hatred for tomatoes.

I'm with some of you on the tomato thing. I can't do tomatoes on anything. All I can taste is tomato and it ruins the taste.

Love mexican food, but HATE cilantro. One time I was a guest at an Asian house and they fed us bowls of pig brains with cilantro. The worst part was the cilantro!

Make up some mac&cheese. Right before digging in, I add a couple spoonfuls of applesauce. In a way this makes sense, cheese and apples are one of those traditional pairings. But I like it this way..

i made some potato pancakes.. didnt have any thing to put on it... so thought... peanut butter... was great, but needed some kind of kick- so i busted out the sriracha hot sauce. i still cant get anyone to try it, but its damn good.

I can eat very hot jalapenos, salsas, whatever, but if cilantro is cooked in soup it will burn the shit out of my mouth. Raw cilantro doesn't do this but I don't like the taste of it.

This is kinda like the peanut sauce you get with spring rolls (the raw kind, not the deep fried kind). Mix some Sriracha in with the peanut sauce...yummy.

Like others I have a "raw is good, cooked is not" thing with spinach and carrots.

Will not eat sushi, but will turn it into grilled fish then eat it.

Oysters in the half shell and raw eggs are too scary to even try. What is the gelatinous shit in Pecan Pie ? Dont like the fuzz on Peaches. After looking at my list, I feel like a picky eater but never considered myself one...

Guess I'm a weirdo, I'll eat damn near anything that'll make a turd. Very few things that I won't eat, like liver, raw oysters, raw eggs, mussels (love clams though), brie cheese, most "exotic" cheeses, brains and other organs (tripe - Jesus no!), kiwi fruit, a few other things, but not many.

Yea I found that odd when I was in Germany till I tried it. Still the strangest one over there was banana juice and hefe wiezen. I did enjoy it though, esp a Radler (lemonaid and pills) while skiing.

For me, I just can't do any sort of tequila... I think I am allergic to it.

I tried all the variants, with cola, with orange cola, sprite, lemonade. Just seemed crazy to me to put anything in beer. As for tequila, I wish I was allergic to it. Makes me do dumb shit and usually get sick.
