Saw on MSN that they listed Jus Cookin's fried chicken dinner as one of the best in America
840 Tabor St
Anyone been there? Is it worth a 2.5-3hr drive round trip for me?
What say you?

I'm still mad at that place for being built where I used to ride bikes when I was 10 years-old; so I haven't been there.
"Best in America"?? Nope! I live 1 mile away and it's not worth the drive for me.

White Fence Farm restaurant, in Lakewood, on Jewell near Harlen.
Or Wishbone's on Federal at 97 th Ave.
Both are worth the detour if you are already in the Metro area.
Davie's Chuck Wagon Diner on W. Colax. Best chicken fried steak too..
I've heard of a place downtown, on 13th, but have never found it.
I'm easy to please - I think the fried chicken at King Soopers is damn hard to beat when it's fresh and hot, and it's a HELLUVA lot cheaper than anybody else's. A 3-piece meal for $4? Ni**a please.....
KS does make a pretty mean bird.

And they have the "sale" all the time for 8 pieces for $6 There rotisserie ones are good as well.

I'll eat one of the rotisserie chickens all to myself. The lemon herb one is my favorite. Pretty good price on them too.

This is some of the best soul food in Denver. Get there early as the chicken goes fast, bring cash. Skip just cooking. Think of it as your mother in laws cooking, only you have to pay for it. I never went back either.

This is my choice for Fried Chicken, the rotisserie is Sooper. :)

The King Soopers on Arapahoe and Parker will fry your chicken for you. So you can go over to the meat section and select your chicken and then go over to the deli, hand it to them and they will fry it up.
