JOHN BELUSHI
http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?p=john+belushi+skits
A post in the American Snipers thread flashed back to a john Belushi skit where he played a Mohel. Who was doing a circumcision in the back of some car they were spoofing, how smooth it was. Since there's too many belushi skits why not a link so everyone who was old enough to appreciate his humor could get a tuesday chuckle.
For those not informed a Mohel is a Rabbi who performed circumcisions for the new born males of traditional jewish families.
AND thanks to modern technology. Instead of a referral from the Synagogue you can shop online

If only... Great post Jim. I grew up with the late great Jake Elwood back when SNL was still funny.

Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, pepsi.
Little chocolate donuts Cheeseburger is weak compared to LCD's AND he's smoking a cigarette.............
Samurai Chef still, to this day, is the best SNL skit ever... followed by Will Ferrell as Harry Carey.

Anybody remember when they did the Killer Bees, looking like Mexican Banditos?
And Belushi was reading Playbee magazine and getting honey on the pages!

Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, pepsi.
When we went to Chicago this was on my short list of must-see places. Food was meh but it was cool going there after enjoying the skit. No Coke! Pepsi! lol

Knew. In fact it nearly ruined chiklis' career before it began. Wasn't it Burt Reynolds that got it kick started again some how. He'll, now I am going to have to google it to refresh my cobwebby memory.
ETA: Yep, it was Burt. This "Dinner for Five" (http://youtu.be/VXEmk0WvNr0?t=7m50s) episode (http://youtu.be/VXEmk0WvNr0?t=7m50s) was where I heard the story first. I think this was what drew me to The Shield, too.

Original SNL cast was the best. We just watched The Blues Brothers movie. Great music!

Correct. he did some low rent things until THE SHIELD. For those who watched, it was the only police show that mirrored a "corrupt" PD [Rampart Div] YET not one Police agency came out calling for a boycott of the show.
Episode 1 was insane with the child molester, interrogation.. What's this good cop, bad cop? No, good cop, bad cops gone home. me Im a different kind of cop. then blast him with the phone book
Long live Jake and Elwood.

Yes, I distinctly remember when SNL was so politically incorrect it would make today's Liberals shite chickens. I loved every minute of the old school, Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Gilda Radner, SNL days. That was back when it was so funny you laughed so hard you almost puked. Damn political correctness will surely be the death of our society.

If they remade Blazing Saddles it would more than likely be about a Gay Sheriff. or would that be Flaming Saddles?
Yes the original cast of SNL was awesome. Many have moved on to great things.
Lost interest later as the newer members try to copy the older peeps,,, Not funny.
However Chris Farley was pretty good.
