About like our 2nd season elk hunt in unit 27. No Elk, no moose, but lots of deer. Of course, no deer license for 2nd season...got one during ML. My 13 YO son took his second deer and his first Antelope this season! Waaaahh!

We were up by Willow Creek Pass, on both sides of the summit. You can usualy spot them just off the road. They don't seem to be camera shy. [Luck]

I hunted up in that area too for 3rd season. Didnt see anything I could shoot. Not one elk. Couple small bucks 2 pointers and a small heard approx. 15 deer on private prop.

I also seen plenty of Moose. They were everywhere this year.

I also hunted in that area and repeteadly saw a mom and baby moose. I did however see a heard of about 35 or 40 elk eating in one of the valleys but I wasn't in a position where I could take a shot and they got scared before I could get a good angle of them. I spent the rest of the time chasing the heard around but never did get close enough to get one. So the good news is there were definitely elk up there - the bad news is they were hard to get.

My first 2008 season moose in Finland. 500gr flat nose travelling at 2600 fps dropped him at his tracks, even the bullet did not penetrate through :)

Marlin - There's been recent activity in this thread which caused me to see this old post of your's. Just curious who Rae Ann is. The reason I ask is that my wife's name is Rae (she used to go by Rae Ellen is HS).

NOOOO! It's not like that...

I just thought that if Rae Ann was his wife, it would be interesting that there are 2 of us on this site with wives named Rae (and that whole using the middle name thing is pretty much a Southern thing). Honest.
