With the warm weather comes lots of awesome stuff to do - outdoor shooting, four wheeling, bikinis, fishing, allergies, yard work, wake surfing, biking and last but not least... Yard sale-ing!

I stumbled across a yard sale close to 84th and Huron that a guy had just purchased a storage unit. In the storage unit were thousands of dollars of hvac tools. Bought a bunch of tools and supplies for pennies on the dollar.

So what's your best score at a yard sale?

5K of 22 in ammo cans, Used 1x engine hoist ($50) Free snap on tool cart. Sometimes you're there as good shit is being rolled out. other times as it's being rolled away.
I'm doing a GS the 18th. Welders, drill presses, work benches, tools, tools, tools. If i had a way to strip and repaint the 8 x 5 enclosed trailer i have, it be for sale too. HINT

I have to start going to those garage sales. All the ones I hit are filled with baby clothes and furniture. I did score a custom ice fishing rod with reel that makes for a nice rig to keep in your truck.

With a few decades of garage sales under my belt, it would be hard to pick "the" best score.
But one that stands out, was the LNIB Colt Python for $200.

Canning jars! I can't get enough. I scored a dozen pint Bell jars yesterday.

I wonder how beneficial a Garage Sale Intel sticky would be? I know a lot of you are looking for specific things. I wouldn't know reloading equiment if it bit me, but if I came across some, I'd either want to let you all know- or pick it up and meet someone else for an exchange of some sort. Hmmm.

Mossberg pump 20 gauge, used but still good condition for $40 2 years ago at an estate sale in Cherry Hills Village. I drive by on Hampden everyday and a couple times a month there's a sign for estate sales. Old rich people's stuff can yield some finds.

Two big boxes of Playboy magazines in plastic covers. Still have 'em. Every time I tried to post on Craigslist they were flagged within minutes. Gave up trying to sell them so they just sit in the boxes in my garage.

RCBS Rock Chucker and several sets of Dies for $60. (To keep with the firearms theme)

Couple of Fluke Multi-Meters for $30 each. I'm Sure they are "HOT", since that is about all the guy was selling.

I think you can sell them on feebay if you put them in the 'adult' section.

My cousin and I would go garage sale-ing when I would go back and visit them in Syracuse when I was a kid. We'd buy a bunch of model kits that were usually half there then frankenbuild some cool model cars and such. Best monies I ever spent. :)

GARAGE SALE RANT.

HEY YOU, SALE PERSON. When you put 1 sign, 2 miles away with an arrow point in the general direction, WITH NO ADDRESS WTF you selling shit or just cluttering up the stop signs???

4 GS's in town sat. 3 of them has a 8.5" x 11 piece of paper with GARAGE SALE > That's it.

OR you get the GS signs where you think they were signing a check and not large enough to read, FROM A CAR. garage sale>
