It would appear that Gun Broker has started mandating that dealer accept transfers from non-FFL senders or you can't advertise as an FFL.

I stopped accepting from non-FFLs after getting firearms with no ID from the sender, too much trouble trying to contact the sender and get their ID.

So, for those that I do GB transfers for, I am sorry to say I will no longer handle any GB transactions. Not a spoiled sport just tired of all the [pileoshit]and rules.

I here ya. Will you be doing the UBGC's for "non-ffl's" come July 1?

I ran into that problem a few times. Generally was solved very quickly when I told the receiving customer I couldn't (wouldn't) release his gun until I got the info I wanted from the seller. It's easy for the customer to get because he'll have access to the seller's address and info after the sale.

It's EXTREMELY irritating to hear dealer's say they can't accept guns from non-FFL's or it's illegal to accept a gun from a non-FFL (if it was illegal how would you take a gun in on trade?). Just say you won't because it's too often a PITA or because you just don't want to. How hard is that?

I should have been more clear, I will still accept from Bud's J & G's and other online sellers via regular shipping methods just not GB.

Don't know why you would be irritated with my not doing business with GB, more business for you.

I think he was agreeing with you. He wasn't saying you were the type of dealer that irritated him, just dealers that say they can't accept from non-FFLs or say it is illegal to accept from non-FFLs. His point was for those dealers to just admit that they don't want to because, as you pointed out, it can be a PITA.

Or I could be way off, I dunno.

You need to reread what I wrote. I am in agreement with you.

Is this the new $10 CBI check for private party transfers?

All CBI checks incur a $10 over-the-top fee just to run the check now. FFLs may charge an additional $10 fee to the private party for the service of doing the check.

Unless you've found an extremely generous FFL who does it for nothing, that means gunshow checks have jumped to $20 ($10 cost and $10 service fee), and private party checks will probably be at least that.

my appologies, I don't mind doing BGCs for folks if I can see their face and IDs at the same time, I am afraid of a stolen gun and stolen ID. At least the shipping FFL can see the seller's face and ID all at once. Between the Federal, State, and GB rules I just get pissed off and NOT at the pruchaser (well, sometimes when the buy a POS on GB and blame me for it I'm not real happy)
