So ugly only a mother could love it. Never understood this - body has 3 ft. of clearance and diffs have, what, 8" of clearance?

Those antlers really complete the disaster.

Newer CB Radio with fatty huge antennas which help with sizing up obstacles, awesome. Look sweet as well

"Hey Earl, hows that meth? Great... can you design me a killer car ad so I can sell my yota on Craigslist?"

I love the older 4 Runners, but that thing looks ridiculous! And what Gman said- who cares how high you lift it, the real area of clearance you need to worry about is your axels/dif. That's why I like the HMMWV- the drivetrain is sucked up into the body for added clearance; that and they just look awesome (and I love to drive those beasts).

Body lift does allow you to address steeper inclines - that is, get closer to a wall or berm surface and get your tires on it before the body gets in the way of making contact. Probably more important in rock crawling than traditional offroading. That much lift will also let you put much bigger wheels on than those, which will actually improve minimum ground clearance.

I actually kinda dig it... I can just hear the zombies squishing under the tires now...

I am guessing bigger tires were out of the budget.

You wouldn't want to take corners quickly with that.

You point your tires at the rocks, not your diffs. Bigger lift gets you bigger tires, which gains clearance under your diffs.

It looks like a decent 1st gen and they do pretty good offroad

The antlers are terrible.

It doesn't look like all body lift to me.

So he painted things some stupid colors, and has a set of antlers on the hood, easy fix.

It would be a good project for $1K. It's an overpriced project gone wrong for $5k. With that said in going to offer him $500.

Don't go throwing approach angle and other technical mumbo jumbo at this. The antlers negate that right off the bat. [cigar]

Gettin' those green springs all messy. [DriveBy] [zombie1][zombie1]

My next door neighbor has a 4Runner and we run trails when we can. His I like, that... Too much neon, WTF on the antlers, I bet it leans like a tree in the wind around corners at speed and finally it looks dangerous for being on any real trail.
