Knowing Glock they will address there issue and send free pins to ones affected, They have a huge reputation on being one of the most reliable guns out there and the last thing they would want is to lose that.

There you go I fixed it for you..... Now that was just funny.

I would put very little stock in that article.

I especially liked the former CA cop who said he carried one in SWAT for 30 years. [dig]

Yeah, I caught that, too. Pretty impressive since the gun's only been in America since about 1985. And the response was so typically Glock...it's the ammo. It's always something other than the gun with Glock. Why can't they just admit they make a complicated product that is subject to high stress and abuse and that product sometimes fails? Then fix it.

There's no doubt they make a fantastic gun. But it isn't "Perfection".

Testing for the Glock started in 1979 and the first Glock(17) was produced in 1982.

Actually, if you "know" where Gaston "borrowed" his ideas from, the testing started in about 1975. The first Glock sold in the US was 1985. If the "hallowed SWAT" team guy actually had a 30 year SWAT career, that is impressive, but he is retired...so 28 years is the maximum amount of time someone could have "used" a Glock on Duty in the US.

Maybe they should change the slogan from "Perfection" to "Good Enough to get 'er done." [ROFL2]
