View Full Version : Scandal after scandal after scandal... WTF?
So while on lunch I flipped over to FNC to catch a lead in on Studio B. Shepherd was talking about the 3 latest scandals:
Benghazi- the WH is now denying the President actually saw the talking points Secy. Rice was given for her round of Sunday talk-shows.
IRS- President Obama claims the first he heard was the same as us, last Friday.
DOJ vs AP- President denies any involvement or knowledge of this.
So with all these, I'm led to believe that one of two conditions exist:
1) Obama, Clinton, Rice, Carney, Biden, etc. are completely full of shit. -Very likely- I believe they call this 'plausible deniability.'
Or
2) This is the most inept, ignorant, and powerless administration in U.S. History. -Ya know, because "we do what we want, we don't need to inform our superiors," and on the other hand, "dur duh duh we don't know what's going on."
But the thing about all this that grinds my gears and really confuses me, how is this asshat still president? Granted I wasn't in for long, but I saw two instances (one downrange) where Commanders were relieved of duty for much much less than these three incidents. I guess all I want to know is: Where are the articles of impeachment!? [Mad]
Ronin, you and I don't see eye-to-eye on most things on this forum (and I still think Bush is worse (at this point)) but I have no reason to defend what this administration is doing. They have been digging a hole and I hope get burried in it. This second term is off to an amazingly bad start that worries me where it will end.
The privacy and transparency worry me the most and you already know where I stand on the 2nd (that much I think we agree on).

If Gotti was the teflon don ...... this guy is the teflon President. none of his bullshit sticks.
If the press keeps letting him off after this AP stuff I'll finally have to put on the tin foil and admit there is something to the conspiracy guys...

It's the perfect time for all this stuff to happen - after the 2012 elections, but well before the 2014 mid terms. I think this is a planned dump, way to much for anyone to concentrate on one thing, and it will all go away after time. They kept it all bottled up, and they're perfectly happy to let it all out right now.

It's funny that people say the second term is off to a bad start when most of the infractions were committed during the first term. You had to be an imbecile and/or intentionally blind to believe the administration's story on Benghazi last September. The same goes for Fast & Furious, not prosecuting the New Black Panther Party for voter intimidation, etc. This stuff doesn't stick to him in large part because the Press won't let it stick to him. The mainstream media might as well be official spokespeople because very few of them have done anything other spew the party line and cover for him before the most recent "scandals".
The real scandals aren't that he lied about Benghazi but that the press didn't press him on obvious fabrications and that it took until now for the IRS's actions to come out. I can't believe Carney wasn't subjected to voluminous questions and eye rolls over the idea that senior IRS officials knew what was going on for nearly two years and Obama only found out through the media broadcasts on Friday.
Personally, I think there's something else going on -- why did the media pointedly ignore these things for months and then decide to jump on them now? Did it just take this long to find some poor schmoe willing to take the fall for all of this?

The institutional left and the MSM (the same thing really) kept a lid on all these things as best they could to keep them from coming up during the election ... there's only so much they can stop.
It is infuriating how much Demonrat presidents gets away with (any Republican would have been impeached a dozen times over by now) but this guy makes even Bill Clinton and FDR look like pikers.
I wasn't a Bush fan, or of the Rove/Cheney oligarchy that really ran the presidency. But Bush (to the best of my knowledge) didn't infringe on my 2A rights... that alone gives him preference in my book. O-hole took all of the bad ideas that the Bushies had, all the jackbooted heavyhandedness, and added a disarmament agenda to it. They're both vile sacks of shit in my book. The only difference being that I think Bush should have been impeached, and O-hole.... tarred, feathered, and exiled.

Pretty amazing... Obama knows everything there is to know about everything...he's a fucking expert on every subject. Except what senior leadership in his own government is doing. He knows dick about anything he should know about and even says he knows nothing about this stuff. And everyone seems to just ignore the irony of that.

Heh, Smartest President Ever™ ...but nope, he didn't know anything about <insert scandal here>.
Consider the following: The IRS didn't just target conservative groups they also assembled a special unit to target Jewish groups as well. Keep in mind the current administration has treated Israel like a red headed step child since they took office.
If the IRS targeted African American focused non profits because they are more likely to be tax cheats while Bush was in office what do you think would be happening right now? Now add to that situation the notion that the Bush administration turned a cold shoulder to all of the US's African nation allies after entering into office.

This. the reason they are now reporting on this shit is due to the wire tapping of reporters. m Once the MSM's Rights get infringed all hell breaks loose.
All of these things are also smoke & mirrors for the added gun restriction amendments that will be added to inconspicuous bills, such as funding for fighting wildfires, school meals, ect.
One more thing , IF this is aired now, come 2014 the general public will forget about it. Hell, july 4th and the minds will have wandered to the record heat wave "Gripping the nation"

I don't for a moment believe that. EVERY action taken by this government is orchestrated from the top.
He's trying to get in front of the IRS and AP stories in hopes of making sure he's not implicated in them (classic "community organizing" technique ... burn down your own church and then claim whitey did it so they'll treat you like a victim and whitey like a villain ... and you get to collect insurance as a bonus).

I am good with this. I may be just as upset as several on here when compared with Bush when the current administration is done with its 8 years, just not yet. Ya, Bush pissed me off that much.
Not a fan of either one. In my opinion, Bush followed by Obama is the worst thing to happen to this country.

+1. And the jackbooted IRS now gets to be the enforcement arm of Obamacare? Well, just speculate on how that may turn out. I'm getting some hints of additional tyranny about HHS shaking down healthcare organizations that provided campaign funding to republican candidates. If Boehner milqetoast limp-wrists investigations and allows "stand-up" organizations like Holder and the justice dept to investigate themselves, the tyranny will get much worse since Beeho and minions will know they can get away with anything.
If these investigations end up having any teeth, it will only because of the AP scandal and the administration going after their own protectors (media). That is the only thing that will drive public opinion enough to matter.
Oh, please elaborate!

Exactly.
President Bush was absolutely awful but the current resident takes the cake.
I haven't seen where President Bush let guns walk into Mexico and then tried to use it to violate the 2nd Amendment. If President Bush had the media would have been ALL OVER THE STORY.
I haven't seen where President Bush used the IRS to target his opponents. One of the things that pissed me off about President Bush was that he never told those reporters off, he never addressed the shit they said and did. If President Bush had the media would have been ALL OVER THE STORY.
I haven't seen where President Bush monitored the conversations between reporters and their editors. If President Bush had the media would have been ALL OVER THE STORY.
I haven't seen where President Bush provided military armament to the Muslim Brotherhood and helped Al Queda (Egypt, Libya, Syria). The FSA is supported by Al Queda and the FSA has used chemical weapons on the opposition. The United States went in to Iraq to remove WMDs, a few years down the road the United States is HELPING the people who use WMDs. If President Bush had the media would have been ALL OVER THE STORY.
The Messiah had a choice when he took office, he could have turned down the TARP extensions, he didn't and now we're on QE4? Where is the media to report on the damage to this country?
The Messiah continued the failed war in Iraq and continues the failed war in Afghanistan and The Messiah is making noises about becoming more involved in Syria. I thought The Messiah was going to end these wars and close Guantanamo. Where is the media to report on the damage to this country?

From the WSJ: (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324715704578480900591444118.html)
President Obama famously joked in a college commencement address in 2009 that he could use the IRS to target political enemies but of course he never would. It appears that people at the Internal Revenue Service didn't think he was joking.
Pretty amazing... Obama knows everything there is to know about everything...he's a fucking expert on every subject. Except what senior leadership in his own government is doing. Clint Eastwood had it 100% right with the empty chair...here is the text of the above article:
The White House is responsible for nothing and they don’t know about anything going on in their government.
They didn’t know about the DOJ’s covert seizure of the Associated Press’s phone records until today, Monday.
Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, said in a statement Monday evening that the phone records story was purely a Justice Department affair. White House officials didn’t even know about it until they read press accounts Monday afternoon, Carney said.
“Other than press reports, we have no knowledge of any attempt by the Justice Department to seek phone records of the AP. We are not involved in decisions made in connection with criminal investigations, as those matters are handled independently by the Justice Department,” Carney said in a statement given to the press pool travelling along with President Obama on fundraising trips to New York Monday. “Any questions about an ongoing criminal investigation should be directed to the Department of Justice.”
The White House also didn’t know about the IRS targeting conservatives, people who want limited government or disagree with the government. President Obama didn’t know. He found out Friday with the rest of us.
“Let me take the IRS situation first. I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this I think it was on Friday.. [He's not even sure if it was Friday. The IRS knew in 2011 and they are an arm of the Executive Branch.]
President Obama didn’t know that Benghazi was an al Qaeda attack. He thought it had something to do with a video protest gone awry even though the intelligence community knew it was a terror attack on the night of the attack.
The White House didn’t know the Talking Points were changed.
The White House didn’t know that terror training camps were sprouting up all around the Benghazi consulate and they didn’t know about the 200+ attacks in Libya prior to the 9/11 attack. The White House didn’t know about the security requests.
“We weren’t told they wanted more security. We did not know they wanted more security there,” Joe Biden said.
Obama didn’t know his BFFs Jay-Z and Beyonce were going to Communist Cuba on holiday. He doesn’t know how they got the visa to go.
The White House said that in the Boston terror attack there was no indication of terrorist activity. They didn’t know about the Russians’ warnings to us about Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
The White House didn’t know about the thousands of illegals who were recently released from prison by Janet Napolitano as part of the faux sequester cuts.
The White House absolutely didn’t deceive over the impact of sequester. They didn’t know anything. The White House said they didn’t cancel the White House tours.
“You know, I have to say this was not– a decision that went up to the White House. But the– what the Secret Service explained to us was that they’re gonna have to furlough some folks. What furloughs mean is– is that people lose a day of work and a day of pay,” Obama said, in response.
The White House didn’t know anything about the Petraeus scandal. They conveniently learned about it the Wednesday after the election. The DOJ was investigating the Director of the CIA and the White House didn’t know.
“I’d refer you to the FBI. They have protocols in place on when to notify legislative and executive branches on investigations. It is simply a fact that the White House was not aware of the situation with General Petraeus.“
The White House didn’t know about the Fast & Furious operation.
The White House didn’t know about the SEC/Goldman Sachs charges until after they were made public.
The White House didn’t know it had ordered General Stanley McChrystal to ”Defeat the Taliban. Secure the Population.”
The White House didn’t know that Jon Corzine was a raging incompetent. In fact, Joe Biden said that he was the first one they called when they had a financial question.
The White House didn’t know a Mao Tse-Tung ornament was hanging on their Christmas tree for three years in a row though it was mentioned each year.
In 2011, Barack Obama told Bob Woodward that he regretted criticizing Paul Ryan at his budget speech last year. Obama said he would not have attacked Paul Ryan if he would have known Ryan was going to attend the speech. It’s quite miraculous that Obama didn’t know because Obama personally invited Paul Ryan to hear his speech.
Barack Obama didn’t know Bill Ayers was a domestic terrorist even though they were colleagues and Ayers launched Obama’s career. Barack didn’t know about Jeremiah Wright’s anti-white, anti-Jewish rants even though he sat in his church for 20 years. Barack has carried that ability to not know into the White House – he didn’t know a member of a terrorist Muslim group was invited to the White House for a meeting with senior aides. Barack just didn’t know.
The White House said the Churchill bust wasn’t sent back and then they said they didn’t know it was sent back.
Maybe if Obama would stop campaigning and fundraising, he’d know what’s going on.

Holder doesn't need to be impeached, he wasn't elected. Congress should pass an overwhelming no-confidence vote against him and demand Obama fire him then hold up DOJ expenditures until Holder is gone.
