So my sis-in-law showed up last night and I had no idea but she told me she got her CCW. I was stunned frankly that she has morphed into a poster child for CCW. Then she showed me her firearm of choice, a Sig 938. I had never heard of it, never noticed them, but she let me fondle it and as a 1911 lover, I liked it alot. I imagine it's pretty snappy on the wrists since it's 9mm although she disagreed with that. It's small, flat and I would think this would be a great pocket gun. I was impressed. and the controls are all where a 1911 lover would expect them to be. Did I mention I liked it alot?

Has anyone here ever shot one, or own one? Issues? Impressions? I'd like to hear about them. I'm a 1911 fan and I have to admit I'm envious of my S-I-S's gun.

I have 2 now, bought one of the early first ones and just added another one to the collection. Like it a LOT!!!!!!!!! I thought it was going to be painful to shoot, but it's not at all. My wife has appropriated it and she digs it, it really doesn't have recoil like you would think.

It's barely bigger than a 238 (mustang) I mean like less than a 1/4". But just enough that 238/mustang holsters don't fit. We had Mike Kole make us one, there might be more on the market now.

It's not a 1911 internally, but the manual of arms is like one. Dammed reliable, light, big enough for big hands, but small enough for little wifely hands. With 9mm power in a .380 package. With a great trigger.

Like all Sig's, magazines are ridiculously priced, but they do work.

Took another couple out a few months back, because his wife wanted to get a CCW, so we had show and tell. LCP, 238, 938, J-frame, commander 1911. By far the lady liked the 938 best and she bought one too.

Oh yeah, it's a buy with no reservations.

ailachami, It's a great gun and you sold it. I take it it really wasn't a great gun for you. Care to tell us why you sold it?
Seriously, if you had issues with the gun, I'd like to know what they were.

it was too small and I like my XDM 3.8 compact too much to keep both 9mm

I looked at one, and they are NICE! I was considering trading my PPS for the 938.

My wife has one. She got the Nightmare and 2 extra 7rd mags with pinky extensions. The trigger was a little weird to me but it shoots great and my wife is very proficient with it.
