XDM 45 won't feed rws ammo

Went to the range yesterday and I was having problem with my xdm45 not feeding RWS match grade ammo. Tried two different magazines same problem. I had fiocchi and it fed fine. I've never had any problem with any other ammo. Anyone experienced this ammo before?

Remove the barrel from the XDS and see if the RWS ammo drops freely into and out of the chamber. And then closely examine the ammo for case bulges that would prevent it from chambering.
RWS can be hit and miss for quality.
I bought a few boxes during the last ammo panic, one box worked fine, the other had about 1/3 that had bulges that wouldn't chamber in an old worn out 1911.

That is a good question, I just answered from my experience with that brand of ammo.

The plunk test would have been my first step too. If it doesn't drop in and out of the chamber and sit flush or slightly below the barrel hood, it ain't gonna run. It might be as simple as not enough taper crimp. If you have calipers, measure the case mouth... somewhere around .470"?

If they forgot to taper crimp or didn't give it enough, that's really easy to fix.
