Does Atrain or anyone else know what the South-site conditions are?
Clear,snow,mud,quicksand?

Looks like the 2008 shoot shcedule is not posted anymore. I'm assuming 12/13 is the last shoot of the year, and I may actually be able to make this one. Is it at south/north/both, or potentially cancelled cause of weather/cold temps?
Tim.
I haven't been out there lately. South site gets good sun, so my guess based on what I see in my yard is that there is probably a tiny bit of snow and moderate squishyness. I'd say good to go. Also, the last time I was up there (October) the dirt road was getting pretty bad. It could be interesting in a 2wd. If you guys want me to cruise out there and snap a few pics let me know...

Anyone going to the North Site tomorrow?

I would be interested in going to the North site for a couple hours.
I'm thinking of heading up North tomorrow. Not sure of time just yet.
I really want to head up tomorrow to sight in a rifle and plink a bit, just worried about the weather.
Allenspark (closest monitoring station i know of) forecast calling for snow early, light/slushy accumulation with highs in the upper 30's.
I still have a fair amount of snow on the ground from Monday, so i'm betting there's more than a good amount still up there now. Not that i mind the cold, but if it's actually snowing, and we're already shooting in the snow, might not make for ideal conditions.
What time you guys thinking of heading up? I'm 75/25 for going right now, i've put this off several weeks now and it isn't going to get any warmer for awhile.
Well i'm all packed up ready to go, check the forecast just before leaving. F'in 40mph winds up there right now! I'm starting to have second thoughts....
ugh, it's so nice down here in the Metro area.
I didn't like the weather report so I didn't go. I'm in the same boat and need to sight in a couple rifles and trying out my new CW40. Depending on weather I'm going to try to go up next Friday.

We Hit the South site around noon, clouds came over and the winds were brutal.Shot maybe 100 rds of 40s&w and 70 rds of 44 mag headed to the truck.Oh well next-time.
I decided to head up after all, glad i did. Almost no wind at all which i was surprised at, breezy if that. It was chilly, but not cold (car said 40F). It was cloudy, and there was flurries for a few minutes, but nothing major. Lots of dirt to set up on, but still some snow. Overall, not bad at all considering what i was expecting.
