Got this interesting e-mail from a relative of mine. Kinda some scary stuff. Not sure if anyone has been talking about this lately but regardless doesn't hurt to post it. Yes, snopes was checked, now let's all get our lives in check...eh? What does this word mean? Dhimmitude The word "Dhimmitude" is found in the new health care bill; so what does it mean? Thought this was interesting and worth passing on. Obama used it in the health care bill. Now isn't this interesting? It is also included in the health care law. Dhimmitude -- I had never heard the word until now. I typed it into Google and started reading. Pretty interesting. It's on page 107 of the healthcare bill. I looked this up on Google and yep, it exists.. It is a REAL word. Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations conquered through jihad (Holy War). Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-Muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam. ObamaCare allows the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking", and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient. So I, as a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivable, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health insurance needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize Muslims. This is Dhimmitude. I recommend sending this on to your contacts. American citizens need to know about it -- snopes.com : Health Insurance Exemptions Apr 13, 2010 ... Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations ... The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia ... www.snopes.com/politics/medical/exemptions.asp s/medical/exemptions.asp> Keep this going. Every non-Muslim in the United States of America needs to know about it.

Snopes says that the word Dhmmitude does not appear in the PPACA, and no specific religious group has an automatic exemption from the provisions of the PPACA.

Yeah, but the OP says "Snopes was checked..." BS! Snopes clearly says it's false, along with about 5 other fact checking resources that also claim this is inaccurate information.

Thanks, I got the link... http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/exemptions.asp
I am proposing this idea: When you post blatantly false information on the forum you will be given a 1 week time-out. Just saying.

Can we lump posting stuff from Alex Jones/Infowars into that as well?

My wife sends me this kind of crap all day - "Is this true?"
She used to just forward it on without checking, so at least I have stopped that, and saved a few others from having to read it.
... but regardless doesn't hurt to post it.
Yes, Yes it does.

Posting dumb arse blatantly false garbage just makes us all look like morons and gives the Obamabots something to point to in claiming we're all whackjobs.

Also annoyed by the tinfoil hat crap.
Pro tip: Never believe, or share anything you get in an email.
I've extended this to not even reading things that start with "I got/saw this in an Email." An example would be this thread. I didn't read this email, I just waited 5 minutes to confirm my suspicions.
No offense of course; just a tip.

The time out idea sounds fine, but that could also apply to someone who posted the recent Fox 31 story about the Italian shotgun CEO who was detained by LE at the merchandise mart.

He was banned a long time ago. Just check his title. [Flower]
Is an article claiming to have been checked by Snopes only to have been found to be wrong by Snopes kind of like a double agent? How do we not know this is some kind of triple redirection going on here in that the original article is really the true article?

Trace-buster, buster?
Almost every blatantly false chain email starts with "Snopes confirmed this is true" or something similar. As soon as I read the first line I knew it was BS.
