This is course will be taught by Jacob Bynum, of "Rifles Only". He is a world-famous instructor and has taught Special Forces, elite military units, law enforcement and civilians all over the world. This course is hosted by The Firing Line and will be held on a private ranch up towards Ft. Morgan. Course is suitable both for experienced operatives who want a refresher prior to deployment and for a less experienced civilian student who wants to learn in a truly hi-speed environment from hi-speed instructors. Approx round count will be 700 (prob more) AMMO WILL BE AVAILABLE (for purchase) TO ALL STUDENTS. Course dates are June 20, 2013 - June 23 2013. Cost is $1,200.00. Yes it is an expensive course, and you can find cheaper ones, but as in all things- you get what you pay for. Strengths and weaknesses of the carbine and handgun under less than ideal conditions will be explored. Teamwork, operator surviveability, communication and unconventional shooting positions are the main focus of the course.

Some highlights:

Range and wind estimation;
Long range engagements;
Barricade and positional shooting;
Moving targets (movers will be utilized for this course at variable speeds);
Low light shooting;
Weapon transitions;
Extreme stressfire scenarios;
CQB;
Tactical formations;
Vehicle drills;
Weak side and injury shooting;
Much, much more.

Not that expensive for a 4 day. Most 2 day courses are $550.

If I had a decent scope for my Mk12 and my Mk262 ammo dialed in and loaded, this I would be very interested in. I only lack $3k and a place to dial my ammo in to do this, and at this point it might as well be $3mil for all the money I have available.

:( - this is me pouting...

I can't speak for this particular course, but the Rifles Only high angle course is top notch. I'm sure this one won't disappoint anyone looking for good, practical, no-nonsense training.

And, considering the cost of a quality carbine and handgun, the price of knowing how to use them properly is a bargain!

If Jacob Bynum and the guys from Rifles Only are teaching this course then it will be as good as it gets. I took the PR 1 course from them here in Colorado 2 years ago and couldn't have been happier. The property where the classes are held is just beautiful and everything was first class. I think they have dropped the prices for the classes because back then the cost was about 2K. Can't believe they are teaching classes up here for only $1200, what a deal.
