Just picked up a new truck and I'm thinking about getting rid of the stock rubber for something more aggressive looking. There was a time Performance Wheel and tire on Santa Fe would give you credit for turn ins but they've been locked up due to bank reasons.

Any place in the south part of town that does this?

Well....not sure, but perhaps you could check Doug's Wheel & Tire on Evans & Broadway just west of the Goodtimes there. I know he deals mostly in "used" tires, but maybe worth a shot. I know there is a Goodyear on Littleton Blvd & Broadway. Not sure off the top of my head anywhere else.

discount tire used to, but iirc it was not much like $50.00 ea. for a 80%+ tread left.

Something tells me I'm likely going to be best off buying new ones and selling the stock tires on Craigslist.

yep, after you wade through the scammers you will probably come out better in the end. tire shops are like most gun shops, used car dealers, (or any resale orientated business for that matter) they give you shit for trade in, but when you try to buy from them they think its gold plated.

Tires are pretty easy to get rid of on craigslist.

Take a look at Treadwright for savings. I have a set on my truck and my Exploder.

Check out Tire rack.com for your tires. I am an authorized installer for them. What I have found is the price at discount for a no name is very close to a good set from tire rack.

ETA: I loved these tires on my truck. They wore great and gripped above average in just about all conditions. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=All-Terrain+T%2FA+KO

If I still have my X5 this winter I am putting a set on it. I have also thought about putting them on this summer and going and playing on some trails.
