Saw some UTube videos on DIY color filling the engravings on your firearm.
Specifically on an AR, using paint pens or nail polish
It seems very easy/straight forward but...??

I'm on the fence on this.....what is your opinion?

I used silver nail polish on my glock. Was real easy just cant have aceton in the polish remover. Came out great.

I used a crayon, not permanent and the wax won't hurt anything if it comes off.

Eh, I think it looks cool if it's not overdone. I think the pictograms for the selector switch look cool colored in. That's about it, though.

Glock21, what did you use to clean off the paint?
I saw too, no acetone, but saw a guy using rubbing alcohol and another with mineral spirits

I did it on one.White/red for the selector and OD for the rest. Did not want it to stand out too bad. My Fals came from the factory with some of them filled in. Just a personal thing but I have been doing it on some guns for over 20 years. 2851728519

That looks awesome. I like the colored selector and the OD on the rollmarks. Like you said, it doesn't stand out too much, but is noticeable. What did you use to paint them?

White-out works well too.

I just used model paint from Hobby Town and their paint thinner. Grab the thinnest brushes they got and any overage use a cloth with a dab of thinner to cleanup. After it's dry daba little bit of gun oil over the area and you're good.

White crayon works best and stays on! After coloring, scrape excess off with a credit card then finish by rubbing with a soft cloth.
