Thought I heard there was a show this week, but have not seen any mention of it here. Did I hear coorectly ? If there is one who will be there and what "deals" should we look for there ? Anyone going to have 55gn. 223 bullets for reloading at a good price ?

You can go if you want.
But in my experience they are a rip off. Even reloading components are high.

Thats what I figured, Just found info on it at they want $8 just to get in. Anyone know where I can get good prices on Reloading stuff ? I'm in the Springs and most our places are gone, but I may be in Denver area this weekend.
I'm gonna go. I usually go if I have nothing better to do. If you go to the Tanner website, they usually have a coupon for like 2 bucks off. Also, there's good deals if ya bring $cash$!

keep an eye on midway. Web shows em out of stock but I keep getting alerts telling me they have 1000 packs of Hornady 55grnr's w/can showing up.(something like $86)[Luck]

INSANE! I woke up early and on a spur of the moment decided to go to Tanner's this morning. Hit up starbucks for my crack in the form of Chai Tea and the ATM. I was one of the first people in line at 8:00AM. By 5 til 9 there were two huge lines. Got in and walked quickly to MGT. Bought 10 PMags at $15 each [Beer] Started a background check on one of the AK recievers and then did a money check and said give me 5 more PMags.
After I passed yet another background check I wandered around for a few minutes. I didn't look closely at every seller but MGT was the only place that appeared to have reasonable prices. Stripped lowers for $160, next cheapest I saw was $200 [Tooth]
Given how quick the PMags were going I'll be amazed if they have any left by noon. I'm pretty sure I heard one guy say he wanted a full box of them.
At 9:40 when I walked out the door there were still two huge lines just to get in, though if you had exact change it was much quicker. Also a line of cars almost to 58th.
We had 200 black Pmags at 9 am and we were out of them at 9:36 am.
Was thinking of going to pick up some ammo. Mostly 7.62x39 and some .40
But kinda wondering if they are gouging people on ammo prices? Anyone notice the prices?

couldn't tell you. all i did was fill out 4473's @ Alans booth for everyone lined up.
when i had to depart CBI was down and there were 905 waiting to land.
al_g should have introduced yourself. you were one of the lucky under 45min customers.

when i left there were FDE, and tan? 30's. however everyone who was waiting on their paperwork went from "ok i'll buy 2 P-mags to why don't you give me 4 of them"
we had lots of Thermolds, Cproducts and Sabre curved 20 round mags, for good prices.
While the Magpul mags are top of the line, and understandably in demand. Don't pass on these other quality mags. soon enough they too will be an in demand item. Doubt that it could be anytime soon, but hey who knows. there are between 1/2- 3/4 of a million people given their walking papers the last quarter. Thats a lot of angry restless folk.

That show was nuckin futs, I got there at 8:30 and there was a huge line, I almost left. Once it started moving it was OK. I just went to pick up an IMBEL FAL receiver a dealer was holding for me and luckily got in out by 9:45 including CBI background.
That was the last show for me, no good deals to be had. Better to shop on the net and let Dave at ProTekt handle any transfers and I'm going to just get any handguns from him. As for ammo, Wal-Mart has been restocking and I've been able to lay in a little of each caliber each time I go.

Nuts. I was going to go today to try to sell a Polytech AKM47 to finance a Remington VTR/VTAC or vintage Marlin lever actions... While I dislike crowds and lines, I suppose there's no getting over them if/when I go tomorrow. I'm sure I missed all the deals on other stuff, but maybe I'll find that 1967 dated Marlin 30-30 or .308 VTR.
Like everyone says, its was ridiculous. I showed up at 10 and took me almost an hour to get in from the time looking for a spot to park to standing in line! Got some ammo and scored a great deal on a J-frame with pink grips(for the wifes Christmas present). And yes the ammo was too high priced!
I was 1600 miles away...[Bang]
