Any members here do discounted FFL transfers on long guns? Price has almost doubled from this time last year and $40 is the cheapest I can find now. I'm waiting for an M&P15-22 to get back in stock at a price I can afford that sticks to my budget and then I'll order it. I'm in Reunion in the boonies.

Thanks for the reply. Littleton is so far that I'd spend a ton on gas. $4/g for premium sucks. I'm going to email some of the guys on GunBroker to see if their prices are current. I was hoping a member here who doesn't advertise happened to have an FFL and was willing to do the transfer.

$25 to $45 transfer everywhere else... Rapid fire bunker is the cheapest in town. Sneakered works at FL around i225 and Mississippi, pm or call him. There is also a member owned gun shop behind where the tanner fun show is on the merchandise mart.

Dammit I hate living out here in the boonies sometimes. Gas is so damn expensive it makes a lot of things prohibitive.

Will they still charge just $15 plus the $10 background after July 1st? I've talked to several FFL's who say that after July 1 they will have to log the gun in on their books and then out again and they'll need to raise their fees. IF the potential buyer doesn't pass a BGC the gun then becomes theirs (FFL's) and the seller will have to pay an additional transfer and BGC fee to get his gun back but the FFL is NOT mandated to give it back.

Yeah, tell me about it. I live down in Trinidad and the few times I attempted to sell something on this site, no one wanted to make the long drive. That is one huge disadvantage of living out in the sticks but there are still many very good points about living far away from the Metro areas. Good luck finding an agreeable low charging FFL to do your paper work.

The FFL doesn't own it, but like a mechanic or parking lot, they have a lien against it, and are not required to return it until legalities have been satisfied, and the bill has been paid.

I emailed a few FFLs from that list Friday, haven't heard back from any of them. I'll give ti a few days though.
