http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/126950 $549 with free shipping. Beats the heck out of what I see on Gunbroker.

Got one ordered Friday afternoon before they sold out. Hopefully, I'll have it by the end of the week.

Saw they had the product page up Friday morning but showing out of stock. Kept checking back and they were in stock at 3 & got mine ordered. While I was finishing the whole on-line order thing the boss was telling me to get into a meeting. Got out of the meeting and out of stock again... Was wanting to get a post up here they were available but missed the window. Sorry I missed it guys.

I picked one up on Friday from Centennial Gun Store - I couldn't believe they had it, I just knew I was going to have to get on some wait list for months. Haven't been able to try it out yet but can't wait.

I can only imagine it will be an amazing CCW shooter! My XDs .45 is by far my favorite carry piece. ...and I'm one of those Glock nuts!

They had a 10% off sale on Springfield firearms last Friday. So it was $599 less 10%. It was a great deal.

Machine Gun Tours had one on Friday. It felt good in my hand and I am not an XD fan but at $650 it wasn't happening.

Haven't fired it yet. But $650 is a bit steep. Was it at least bitone?

Nope straight up black. MGT's prices are still up there on gear and ammo.

Got to the range yesterday to try out the new XDS. I was extremely pleased with the gun - how it feels and the accuracy. I shot 4 mags of American Eagle 115 gr. Picture of the 2 targets attached. The first 14 rounds were the target on left at 15 ft. The 3 shots going down vertical were the last 3 rounds on this target and shot rapid fire. So that's my shooting and not the gun:). The target on the right was at 21 ft. I am very pleased with the way the gun shoots and it should get better as it breaks in. I also shot a couple mags thru my Shield as a comparison. The accuracy of the Shield was as good as the XDS at 15 ft. At 21 ft, the XDS was more accurate for me. And I preferred the XDS over the Shield as far as the way it handles. I have 2 XDMs and I really like them. They just fit my hand better than the M&Ps and I shoot better with them. So for me, I prefer the XDS over the Shield. But I think if a person likes the M&P line in general, then they would probably prefer the Shield. They are both very good guns so I think it would really come down to personal preference.

Nice shooting. Does this mean you are going to sell the Shield?

I'm thinking I will. I have a friend who has first dibs. I'll warn you though, I paid $100 too much for it. I'd like to get what I paid for it. Has a low round count. If I had any idea I would find an XDS so quickly I would have waited for it instead of buying the Shield.

Nice shooting.

And thank you, I've been practicing with the pistol quite a bit. I used to be terrible, but I've seen alot of improvement.

That's a great shot group at 21 yards in my opinion, especially with such a small pistol.

I took mine out yesterday. It works very well. Even though it feels like a little kid's water pistol (in size) I could get some pretty decent groups. I didn't measure or photograph any of the paper targets. But, I had a 6"x12" steel target at 30 yards and twice I managed to put all 7 shots from a mag on steel. Then there were the mags where I hit 1 or 2 out of 7... So, the gun is capable.

Guess I am when I take time to control the darn thing... I'm a "good guy". Why won't it hit everything I aim at like in the movies!?!?
