Well, the weather forecast looks good, anyone been to the range to see how the ground conditions are?

5 inches of snow but it has been melting.
Freakin' Colorado weather, now it is not looking so good. Temps are reasonable, wind is a bit high, now we are back to possibilities of snow.
57 and sunny in Denver. We need an alternate range!

Match is still on for Saturday. Might be the last match of the year.

Given that it is December, and we only have one match per month, and it is the last month, I'd say your right.

Got my Father in law coming. Retired FBI. Planning on using his old service revolver.

He has a good idea, maybe Nov-Apr we should push the start time up an hour.

I hate to be pushy, but in order for me to be there for setup, I need to leave my house by 6. I think there are a few other members as well that need to leave early.
Well.... if it looks nasty out, hold off leaving for a bit.
If we cancel the match early and it turns out to be a nice day, people complain.
If we cancel late or dont cancel, people complain.
As a board, we do the best we can.
Understandable.
I will hold until 0630
I went to the Dumont (Clear Creek) range this morning (Friday) and shot.
Weather was surprisingly bearable. Temperature was somewhere around freezing. No wind at first, then a slight breeze came up. No sun in the pistol bays, or course, but some sun over by the outhouse.
Someone has run a snowplow into bays 1-3 and partially into bay 4. So bays 1-3 have at least one "lane" of bare dirt plus about 1-2 inches of snow on the unplowed areas. If the brass falls on the bare dirt, it is easy to find; if it falls on the snow, not so easy.
The access to the range and within the range is fine; no problems walking or driving on the range.
Hi Folks,
Let's give it a try, if it gets too cold we may need to stop early.
Hours are still the same:

See you in the morning.
Cheers,

Bug side match results will be out as well.
Thanks for all the help today. See you next year.

Thanks to all who put on Saturday's match at Clear Creek on Dec. 13.
I especially liked the all-steel stage with the:
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves, and
A partridge in a pear tree.
It was almost balmy by the time we finished.

BUG Results have been emailed out.
These will be posted on the web site shortly. Thanks
Well, it was one of the few, rare Saturdays I could have made it to a shoot, but opted not to because of the nearly two hour drive and probability of a cancellation. I guess I shot myself in the foot!
I hope you guys had fun.
I did, however, make it to a USPSA shoot in Aurora this past week...it was my first time shooting with that club since about 2004!!!

Is the Jan 10 match go or no-go? At this point the weather looks good. I thought someone mentioned that it was a no-go due to snow accumulation.
