Noticed in a number of places that mags are popping up more and more instock. On some of the EE's I check out I see mags advertised that sit there longer and longer. Is the backorder of mags finaly starting to catch up and/or have folks finaly decided that $25-$30 for a magazine is just too ridiculous when they are still being made for $12-$15 a pop? Or are the magwhores finaly starting to run outta cash? I still get a kick outa adds-"only $40 for this Pmag- just think, you dont have to wait if you buy from me now" LOL
Peace!

I think the PMAG madness will keep up through Jan 20th. After the Christmas bills start to roll in, and there isn't a ban within the first few months the market will flood.

That's my opinion, and hope anyways :D

I'm almost tempted to sell all my PMAG's at $25+ a pop and just refresh my stash later, but i'm not a gambler lol.

Guys like Mike at Bower's Tactical never went up on price because Magpul never went up !! The simple problem he has is the huge backorder because of the insane demand for no viable reason except panic. Wait awhile it'll all come back to a realistic level.

MidwayUSA had PMags come in this morning and within an hour they were sold out and yet again backordered. Simply madness.

PMags will continue to be backordered. Every one in the industry I talked to has massive back orders. Magpul for example is trying to expand production but that takes TIME since they will not compromise quality in order ot make more money for which they are to be commended.

However molds must be made, production scheduled, QC performed, parts assembled, more QC performed and product shipped.

And that is just Magpul.

Metal magaziones are available but almost the same price as Magpul for those of you who use GI mags.

I think the mag madness is starting to slow a bit. Guys are looking for cheaper deals but will still pay close to $22/mag. I see most of them being newbies. The guys who have been around a while know it will come back to a realistic level and may buy 2-3 mags for the high price just in case but are holding their money for later down the road to buy up the excess stock when the market becomes flooded.

I have what I need though[Flower]

Well, gonna give a Lancer a try this week. If it works well, may order 6 more. Still dont understand why these are instock everywhere at $19 but get passed by for Pmags at $20-$25 a pop? Im gonna torture test the heck outta it before I decide to get more though. Might even throw it loaded into the arkansas overnight and see if it still fires LOL.[Pepsi]

I ordered 100 + GI magazines for under 12 dollars a pop. They were backordered for 3 weeks and they were dropped at my door about a week ago. So if you are willing to wait, cheap mags can still be had.

$12 each for GI mags is not cheap, especially for the number you ordered.

Where is a better deal? I have not seen anyone with new D&H mags with green followers for less than 12 buck a pop.

You have to hunt the EE on ar15.com

I just bought 9 more like new okay and colt mags for $80 shipped today.

Bought 30 brand new in box okay mags in mid november for less than $5 each...thats not a mistype either.

there are still deals from dealers...9.99 a mag for GI whether Cproducts or Okay or Center or whoever they are.

$5 a pop sounds pretty good. I looked at many different dealers when I was looking to buy the first time, and I didn;t see anyone cheaper (than my $12), I guess I will look harder before my next purchase of GI mags. Do you have a link to any of the dealers that have the GI mags for $9.99?

I already have 20 Pmags and 20 C-products mags for my XCR. I need 7.62 mags for the XCR but that's not critical. I just ordered some more hi-cap Sig mags for my pistols, but primarily I'm spending my excess cash on stockpiling ammo - some of the things I've heard about in the rumor mill like a 400% increase in ammo taxes and requiring each bullet to be stamped are downright scary. Even if only 1/10 of them come about, the prices are going to stay high for quite awhile.
