View Full Version : For all you doughnut eaters
No this is not a cop bashing thread. LOL. Seems like Dunkin Doughnuts is making a play in the metro area. One in Denver and one in Edgewater. I bet we will see more.
And I believe Friday is national donut day so pick up a dozen or two for the people you love!
Stop teasing me! I am hooked on DD coffee.

In terms of donuts, it's tough to beat a fresh Winchell's donut! (and that Krispy Kreme stuff is downright nasty....even with my NC background)
Dunkin Donuts- FINALLY!
It's about damn time. :) Krispy Kreme sucks.

Never was a fan of Krispy Kreme ... always thought it was a gimmick.
Dunkin Donuts is pretty good but my favorite chain is LaMar's (http://www.lamars.com/) only one I know of in CO is in Parker ... there used to be a couple down here in The Springs but KK ran them out of business (along with everyone else worth a darn) before they imploded.
That said the best Donuts are usually the Mom & Pop Donut shops (like the Donut Mill up in Woodland Park).
now y'all got me all hungry for donuts when I'm supposed to be going to the gym. [Bang]

Agreed on both counts. I'm also quite partial to daylight donuts. I certainly won't turn away Dunkin tho, I enjoy them also.

Check out the locations on their website. There's 10 in Colorado alone (11 if you count the headquarters, but I don't know if they sell donuts there.)

Not teasing. In the bid stages. 20th and Sheridan.

Oh, that's not good.....there's one close to me and there are free donuts on June 7, this could be bad, very very bad!

No, it could be GOOD. Very, very deliciously GOOD.
I'm practically slobbering, just looking at their menu.

Love me some munchkins. Brings back childhood memories.
^^ I would proudly wear that shirt at any Starbucks.
There used to be a DD in Boulder. Used to stop there on "Friday bring dognuts to work" day.
[2cents] KK sucks!

We have a LaMar's in Highlands Ranch, right next to the Starbucks. Long assed lines going into the donut shop and then they go into the Starbucks and stand in line with their box of donuts.

Well in that case they need to put two together, cover with batter, and deep fry it again!

pencil us in a secret entrance.
We had a DnD right outside the gate at Ft Drum and when I was the newest crew chief in my company it was my duty on Thursdays to grab 100 Munchkins and a box of coffee for sergeant's time training.
A lot of people probably don't know this, but King Soopers has excellent donuts.

If anyone would know about donuts... [Tooth]
Now I wants me some phat tabs.
The Lamars in Parker is now private, called Lara's. Her stuff is huge, too big actually. Apple fritters as big as a catcher's mitt! Well, almost. But I love's me some fresh KK's!
Visited some friends in Connecticut, and Dunkin Donuts were as prolific there as pot shops in Denver. Friggin' everywhere.
Actually, I think Lara's/formerly Lamars is in Centennial, not Parker. On Lincoln just east of I-25.

It would be bombdiggity if a DD opened here in Edgewater. Would have to be right on Sheridan south of 26th. So close, so cool. Fat pills for me and my co-workers!

Dude. It is going to be on the northwest corner of 20th and Sheridan. They are taking the parking lot where they always set up the Christmas tree stand.
Didn't he say 20th and Sheridan?

Didn't read the thread. Anyway- that's cool! Bet they sell dyno cappucino!?
Dunkin serves donuts?
XL, light and sweet and no knowledge of Fratalian needed.
Sparky, you are in the business of bringing the best in American culture to us. First Chick-fil-A, now DD.[Beer]
DONUTS!!
I love donuts. There is a LaMars at 100th and Wadsworth...delicious.
Stop teasing me! I am hooked on DD coffee.
They sell it by the lb at all major grocery stores... which means you can decide on how strong it is. Hint: They hated me in the army, I always made the coffee strong, like truck stop strong! [Coffee]
That said the best Donuts are usually the Mom & Pop Donut shops (like the Donut Mill up in Woodland Park).
Agreed on that one! Those are always the best! We used to have a great donut shoppe (that was how they spelled it) up here in Evergreen, I would always see my JCSO buddy there and give him guff.
We had DD coffee sent to us when I was in Iraq...so good!
We had it sent in 5lb shipments to us in Afghanistan... The war ran on Dunkin. [Coffee]
Oh, and I have that information from a reliable source....I work in law enforcement.
[ROFL1] Stereotypes do exist for a reason!
The only coffee I hated strong was the MKT coffee that was "brewed" from a liquid concentrate. [Puke]
My company CO had his wife send us bulk shipments of Starbucks and DD coffee along with flavor syrups and biscotti to Afghanistan. [Lick]
The non chained doughnut store at Wads and Hamden is crap. It's called Yummy's now and it used to be a Winchell's. Some of us here think he lost his franchise after an inspection went bad. Not a good person either, been rude as hell to me a couple of times.
