Really a shame he gave in to greed.

My pessimistic side says he is the only one to get caught.

Anybody can make a life altering mistake - doesn't necessarily make them a bad person in entirety in my book. Just takes a half second's impulse in the wrong direction. I hope he has a peaceful twilight to his life when he heads to Florida.

Our current administration has done a hell of a lot worse than accepting a few bribes. You know it's bad when you find yourself missing Slick Willy...

Just takes a half second's impulse in the wrong direction...I'm sorry, but $2,400,000 in bribes from multiple contractors does not constitute a "half second's impulse in the wrong direction". This was a conscious decision to defraud his constituents and better his own position in life.

+1 and add, IMO, the actions of Randy Cunningham, William Jefferson and those who resigned to avoid investigation/prosecution, rise near the level of treason and should have been punished much more severely.

Looks like he exercised some restraint.
