What is a good CC holster for a 4" XD9? Maybe with a small tac light on it, if possible?

I've been looking for one for my P2000 and think I'm gonna get a M-Tac holster from Comp-Tac! Its a leather structure for comfort and has interchangeable kydex bodies! This is an IWB holster. Not sure if the offer anything to fit something with a tac light. Also, check BladeTech if you like kydex concealed holsters!

I just got a pancake for my 4" XD 9. So far I really like it. When his backorder clears up, I will probably get an IWB from him for my G27/23.

Comp-Tac makes the best holster imo. I use the CTAC for my G19, couldn't be happier.

My two favorite IWB holsters are the CTAC and MTAC. The MTAC is what i wear everyday, has both kydex and leather. The CTAC is a kydex body with leathet patches. Both allow the user to adjust cant and how high/low te holster sits.

For OWB i like the wilderness zip slide. Takes some time getting use to but fits very snug to the body.

DeSantis best bang for the buck that is all I have ever used going on ten years now. Not saying it is the best but they have served me well.

Inside the waste band or out? How much do you want to spend? Preference towards leather or Kydex?

OWB in Kydex Raven Concealment cannot be beat, a close second is BladeTech and Comptac.

IWB - Kydex - Comptac has some really good solutions in the hybrid leather/kydex flavors that get really great reviews..

IWB Leather - K&D and a few others, but I don't have a lot of experience with IWB or leather.

Honestly the question is sorta like the "Whats the best caliber" one.. it comes down to personal preference and you might want to accept that you're most likely going to cycle through a few until you find the one you want.

When it comes to the XD, "Supertuck IWB" I have tried a bunch and found this to be the best by far!!! for My Xd-45C http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/ Your light may may be a problem though with any holster.

I was thinking IWB, maybe small of the back...yeah I know I'll probably go through a few of em before I find one I am happy with...

Small of back would be very uncomfortable, 2-3 o'clock is easiest for access and is comfortable. You'll figure out what you like over time.

Ugly Bald Guy ( http://www.ubgholsters.com/ ) makes some pretty good IWB leather holsters. I've never tried one on an XD, but it works just fine on my chosen piece. Very comfortable.

If IWB is the goal then the Comptac hybrids - leather backer with kydex front work really well... after that I'd say K&D but K&D's wait for delivery was something close to 16 weeks last I saw.

For carry I would say dump the weapons light and go with a mag/light holder combo. That's simply because you'll have more use for the light if you've got it on you than you might think :) .. then again I usually have a few lights and blades around most times and like the flexibility of not drawing my weapon to get to my light. I use the Bladetech with their "techlok" for a E1E and spare mag. But again I don't carry IWB.

Been using Galco Kydex for my 4" XD .45 and have been VERY happy with it. I don't wear IWB and like a paddle rig in order to take the piece off when I walk in the door (or go to the gym etc.). I also agree about having my carry piece wear a light and would second the advice to get a mag/light pouch for carry. My SureFire E2D is always on me anyway.
I've yet to find a corresponding kydex/paddle double mag pouch for the .45 XD and have taken to wearing my Milt Sparks leather mag pouch.
I really like the XD as a daily carry gun
