Just thought I'd pass along to everyone. Wal-Mart has 200 round .223 50 gr value packs for $76.97
Just went and picked up a few boxes for the range tomorrow!
That's still over $380 for a "case". I think Wideners still has Privi M193 for around $360ish shipped last i checked.
But for local that's a pretty good price, thanks for the heads up! btw which Wally World?
Welcome to the forum as well :D

Oh I completely agree is still a lil on the high side. But most of the online places are back ordered and the gun stores here in the springs are WAY overpriced.
I hit up the wally world here on the north end of colorado springs, but in talking with the guy, all of the stores got some boxes in.
walmart in lakewood has them for $76 also for 200 or they have 100 round fmj for $39.99. i cant find it in town any cheaper. green mnt. guns has a case of 1000 for $399 i think pmc. same price just if you dont have $400 only $200

Bought American Eagle XM193 for $79/200 at Jensen this week. I've seen that deal at Walmart before and have been keeping my eye out, but every store lately has been out.
Went to Walmart and picked up a box to dial in sighting today in Greeley. Not bad for local ammo when you need it.

I think Wal-Mart is a fine source for ammo. I get .45 ACP CCI Brass there for less than $15/50 rd box. I had ordered PMC or other brands by the caseload before but I like the CCI Brass product and $15/box is pretty decent.
Heads up, Privi M193 from Wideners comes out to be cheaper for a single 200rd. pack then Wal-Mart after tax, and it's in stock (including delivery). So if you don't need it for immediate use, i would go with the Privi.
They also have MC Wolf 55gr. FMJ in stock, $124 per 500 which is about as good of a deal as you're gonna find on the web right now, plus they actually have it. They're backlogged a few weeks on shipping right now, but i've done several orders with them and they're good people.
When buying Wolf its cheaper and more feasible to throw rocks.

Alright, you stand within rock throwing distance and a handful of rocks, I will stand with my AR loaded with Wolf ammo and we will see who is more lethal.[Kick1]
There is better ammo than Wolf, but let's be realistic.
I went to a few different walmarts last week to pick up 9mm and both were out.........third was the charm though.

I went in to wally world to kill some time before a seminar started.. ammo was virtually nill except for the usual shot gun rounds and oddball cartridges... there were a couple over priced boxes of 45gr JHP (.223) though
Oh how I miss the days when ammo was $45 for 500 rds of wolf in .223 and x39. All my guns love wolf except my .40.

Consensus among my friends is that with a quality firearm and proper maintenance Wolf shouldn't be any problem at all. Makes sense to use it for range time due to current ammo prices. Just my .02
The ammo section looked like the shelves of a USSR supermarket. Bare shelves with only a few uninteresting overpriced little boxes.

Walmart - Colfax/Wadsworth - 100 round packs - 39.97 a couple days ago. Otherwise, limited stock of most everything. (Even bricks of 22's are sold out)

walmart in loveland (hwy 34& denver ave) Had 3K of 9mm (HAD) there are still 4-6 bulk paks of fed 22 and a few buls of winchester.
The Walmart on 34 in Loveland is OUT of 9mm now. They did have a couple boxes of 22 bulk when I left.

Stag - I've had nothing but trouble with Wolf. I'm not sure what it is about it, but FTEs (the nasty ones that lock the bolt up pretty tightly) happened a couple times per mag so I quit using it. I stocked up on $0.25/rd reloads from 10X (guys in the back left corner of Tanner next to the 5280 trailer) for range time and for the last 1500+ rounds I've had great success with them.
