Anyone else pray a piano falls on old chickshit-pooper.
Dozens of other bills were signed in private Wednesday, including a measure to allow Colorado residents without legal immigration status to receive driver's licenses.
O and you in rural Colorado, here comes your electric rate hike.

It's like a nightmare that I can't wake up from. How do you treat people who are knowingly breaking the law,,, Give them a discounted college education and allow them do drive.
Hickenlooper is out of control and so are the rest of them. It's seriously an avalanche of bullshit that is not stopping.
I remember Gray Davis CA governor tries to issue a DL to undocumented, and other states told CA that they will no longer honor CA ID as an State issued ID.
If CO issues DL to undocumented, it's gonna happen to CO DL to other states near future. We gotta carry around our Birth Certificate, Passport, and/or Naturalized Citizenship paperwork. :(

NM issues illegal aliens driver's licenses, and some citizens of NM have run into problems using their DL for travel etc, but remember, it's for the kids.
We knew he would.
So what is the next undeserved and unearned benefit for the illegal fucking scum?
Having a front row seat to watch societal meltdown isn't pretty.

The state wants its money. There are a lot of illegals here, now they get there fees from them. Its extra income. Colorado is the worst money grabbing state I have lived in.

But you still cannot insist upon seeing this DL when it is time to vote!!!
Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "undocumented pharmacist"...
Now how exactly are these illegals going to establish their identities for the purpose of issuing a license? and what's to stop them from simply obtaining another license under a different alias when they're convicted of their 4th or 5th DUI?

Stop asking hard questions, besides now the illegal is more equal and that is what counts. Who cares what they've done wrong and walked away from under multiple identities which will now be used to get multiple DLs per person. Don't you feel better about society?

I don't have much faith it our system however I like to pretend to be a realist. You honestly don't thinks everyone is fingerprinted and people will be getting away with multiple offenses simply by changing id's?
I don't want to live on this planet anymore. Goodbye America, you were great in your youth, but now you have become a barely functioning entity.

I honestly know that many DUIs are not fingerprinted. Each department has their own rules but many offenders are just cited and released to a sober adult.
how is it an illegal can get there DL but my valid jersey DL ,county birth certificate , social security card, lease, power bill, and car reg and insurance wasnt enough documentation to get my co DL until i provided them with a state issued birth certificate.....which i had no idea jersey even HAD and was real fun trying to obtain halfway across the country

Is that only levied on folks from NJ? -I don't recall having to give them anything more than my out of state DL and documentation showing I had an address here....?

That's what they call being put through the wringer. Colorado has a responsibility to try to weed the Jersey-ites out somehow

I had to show my Michigan DL, military ID, passport and lease to get a Colorado DL. Do the illegals get one that says "Illegal Alien" on it?
The "multiple aliases" issue is an ongoing one already. Ask anyone in law enforcement, and they'll tell you that in many cases, the same person has been arrested may times under many different names. Sure, they take fingerprints when they issue the license, but forget that CSI bullshit where they can ID a fingerprint in 10 seconds, think more about the 90 days that it takes to process OUR prints for a CCW. By that time, they're long gone.

There is a silver lining. The Colorado DMV facial recognition software means that a lot of warrants will be cleared by illegals coming in to get licenses.

Too bad licenses/IDs will be issued regardless of someone having a warrant.

Not seeing the silver lining.
Maybe a dirt lining, not silver. These oxygen thieves wouldn't be here in the first if the government performed its constitutional duties.

And facial recognition software can be beat far easier than they realize, unless they spent the very big bucks and based on everything else I have seen, they didn't.
...and to be honest, the government isn't really interested in illegals and their criminal activity. The .gov is FAR more interested in its "domestic terrorists" aka law-abiding, gun-owner citizens.

No, but I spend 4 hours talking to one in a professional conversation about this topic last week. They are actually excited about the increased revenue and being able to utilize the facial recognition software on a new group of individuals. As it is they get about one to two hits an hour with the software, that will be increasing now.

To what end? No one in 'the system' will do anything about it... Deport them? Laughable. Prosecute & incarcerate? Too costly. Let's face it: they shouldn't be HERE in the first place and our "leaders" aren't interested in preventing them from coming HERE (in an illegal manner). To use this as an 'experiment' for some new technology is myopic pragmatism at best.

No, no. I was just wondering how you knew this stuff. Now it makes sense. Thank you.
As to the revenue I'm sure they'll find a way to make citizens pay for it, because illegals need all the help they can get.
Instead of catch and release for illegals it will be scan and ignore.
This is just another shady move by the dems... they were partially right in using a different term for "illegal immigrants"- they really are "undocumented democrat voters." Let's face it, they're perfectly content to allow thousands cross our border illegally every day, they don't see how the system could possibly crash. Where I come from this is called "Asleep at the wheel."

1. Secure the border with walls and armed snipers, just use all the ammo DHS has been hoarding. This will stop border crossers real quick.
2. Go door to door to verify citizenship. Illegal alien? You're immediately deported.
3. Were you born on US soil to illegal parents? You're gone too along with any of your illegal relatives.
4. Do you employ illegals? $10,000 fine per illegal or you go to jail.
5. No friggin discounted college for illegals. They are not in state residents nor are they out of state residents. In fact, no college for illegals.
6. Hospital use. Are you a sick illegal? You better show up at the ER with a sack of cash or you won't be treated.
7. Illegal driver? If you're pulled over you'll be deported and we'll sell your rusted out shitbox to fund your departure.

All terrible ideas.
1. Secure the border. This is a good start. I just don't know that I would be ok with snipers enforcing laws against families and children. No, in fact, I definitely wouldn't.
2. Go door to door to verify citizenship. They'll be doing this for various reasons soon enough as it is. Let's not accelerate the goose-stepping DHS machine, under the guise of immigration enforcement...
3. Were you born on US soil to illegal parents? You're gone too along with any of your illegal relatives. Mixed feelings on this
4. Do you employ illegals? $10,000 fine per illegal or you go to jail. If deliberate intent could be established, hell yes. We don't have to do anything else - this would fucking fix the entire thing. Remove the carrot pulling them here.
5. No friggin discounted college for illegals. They are not in state residents nor are they out of state residents. In fact, no college for illegals. Agree, but only on the discounted tuition part.
6. Hospital use. Are you a sick illegal? You better show up at the ER with a sack of cash or you won't be treated. Sigh... while I love this one in principle, my morals wouldn't let me do this. Emergent care is a money pit, yes, but if we lose our humanity...
7. Illegal driver? If you're pulled over you'll be deported and we'll sell your rusted out shitbox to fund your departure. Yup.
I wish our government would take a much harder line on illegal aliens. However, it's only obvious that any of the measures put in place on illegals now, will be turned on citizens shortly as well. Stemming the tide by punishing employers, seems to be the only situation that doesn't require an overarching new set of draconian laws like door to door searches, having to constantly show "papers" to prove legality, or mass graves.
What if the government pursued property owners for housing illegals like they pursued employers for employing them?

While I'm no cold hearted bastard every time I hear people make excuses for why we don't deal with these people like we should I pose the question, so what if 11 million of us stopped paying our taxes? Or better suited, what if 11 million of us decided to say screw the ATF and started making our own machine guns, suppressors, explosives, ect.?
Do you honestly think the government wouldn't come down on us like a ton of bricks. They would round up every last tax cheat and fine them into the ground or throw us in jail. The ATF would have a field day with us.
So why are these people so different? Why do they get to break laws, steal tax dollars from you and me, steal resources from my daughters educational process? Name one other country in the world that allows people to go unpunished inside its boarders? Hell get caught in Mexico illegally and see how it works out for you.
Secure the border. Fence it off and armed guards and dogs, whatever it takes. You will be detained with non lethal force and sent back. Then start rounding up the ones in country. Put them on buses, planes, cattle cars. I don't care ship them back to country of origin.
As for children born on US soil I'm torn. The law as its written says they are citizens, so be it. Change the law to no longer allow this and set a path in place with a fixed timeline for parent or guardian to become citizen. If the parent misses deadline or chooses not to comply the child becomes ward of the state and adult is shipped out.
I don't claim to have all the answers but why do we keep making excuses just because " it's been this way for so long why should we change it now"
I think it's because people keep looking for a perfect solution, and there never will be now that the cat's out of the bag. The problem's already here, it's just a question of how to deal with it and still preserve the ideals that founded us. I think enforcing existing laws on employers is the easiest solution. Also the one which requires the least amount of new governmental action. Just enforce the law that's already in place!! Deport absolutely anyone who makes the slightest infraction on the law. Fine. But door to door searches and razor wire make me uncomfortable for many reasons, not the least of which is being a history buff.
