Buyer of some of my mags lives in Denver; from my understanding, you guys can't own 30rd mags. So, can I legally ship them to him?

So yes, he does live in Denver. Now, what to do; FTF in different county? Put on my tinfoil, and preemptively shoot my dogs?

I don't think so. When I worked at a gun store we took out the 30 rounders and gave them 20 round mags. I think you will have to meet the buyer outside city limits.

Anyone else have any info on the ban?

No mags over 20 rounds to Denver period. Do you have the exact address to put into Google maps to be sure that they are not just outside the Denver border and just have a Denver zip code?

You would have to look up the exact address to see. There are plenty of places with a Denver mailing address that aren't actually inside the city. A large swath of Adams County is like that.

I think 80231 is Mont Bello. or GVR. Or SE Denver, I used to deliver lots to that Zip and it is almost all Denver, either way the same. I wouldn't chance it. Why risk it?

What if they are taken apart? I'm pretty sure parts aren't illegal anywhere...even California,

I know, I edited it. There is a tiny bit of Aurora over there. Maybe some UI Arapahoe county too.

Sec. 3-130. - Assault weaponse. Any part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a firearm into an assault weapon, including a detachable magazine with a capacity of twenty-one (21) or more rounds, or any combination of parts from which an assault weapon may be readily assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person.

A dissassembled magazine is a "conbination of parts".

My non laywer 2 cents worth.

UI is belleview to powers, broadway to logan. Unless they annexed it to littleton
DENVER CITY & CTY has a 20 rd mag limit.

...

(e) Possession of assault weapons unlawful. It shall be unlawful to carry, store, keep,
manufacture, sell or otherwise possess within the City and County of Denver a weapon or
weapons defined herein as assault weapons, except that this subdivision shall not apply to:

...

(i) Specific magazine prohibited. It shall be unlawful to carry, store or otherwise possess a
magazine which will hold or may be modified to hold twenty-one (21) or more rounds.

...

I am no lawyer, but I do not see "sell" in the magazine restrictions (i) as it is in weapon restrictions (e).
Still, easier to do a FTF outside city limits.

On the other hand, see my signature for how I really feel about it - granted, it is not my ass on the line here.

I was able to confirm that he does live in Denver county, which pisses me off. Should have known better before requesting that I ship.

I could still sell them to him, from what I understand, but I sure as hell will not ship.

My followup question..."Excuse me, do you work for Channel 4?"

ZipCodes do not coincide with city boundaries. They can often span several cities.

You can go here and enter the full address and see what the USPS says.
After doing the FIND, click on "SHOW MAILING INDUSTRIES DETAILS" and it will give you more info like the "County".
https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action?mode=0&refresh=true

If it says DENVER COUNTY, then the address is in Denver....if not, then it is not in Denver.

I'm in 80234 and often use this to convince a supplier that I'm not in Denver as ADAMS shows up as the county in the "DETAILS".

I offer no advice on whether you should ship or not, regardless of what you find out at the above link.

I actually was able to drill down on a Google map; that, and I actually called the Apt. complex that he lives in.
