I say Alan at machine gun tours he is always buying and selling transferable FA. I would suggest using gun broker, subguns and any other online sites and keep your eye out every now and than I see someone from Colorado selling something! You will also see dealers post what they have for sale or consignment from an estate. All depends on what you want and how much money you have to get it and time if its on a form 3 expect it less than a year if its on a forum 4 out side of colorado expect more than a year as you have two 6-7 month transfers. Issue you would have now is after July first if you find a FA is getting magazines for it now while your paperwork is pending. If you where Interested in a belt-fed I'm not sure if you can get one after the first.

I will keep my eye out. Not sure how up to dates MGT website is so I will have to give them a call. Why do FA's take that much longer then a SBR or suppressor?

Oh I'm not worried about magazines law were made to be broke and I live in Elbert county where the sheriff isn't going to enforce them any way.

When a NFA item is transferred the approval time is what takes so long. Transferring from a non-ffl to your ffl takes longer than a FFL-FFL [ form 3] does. The waiting game is the only down side to NFA items, outside the expense.

They don't. Any NFA transfer to a non-SOT dealer takes about the same time - six to seven months from initial mailing, regardless if it's an automatic cannon or a simple suppressor.

That's what I thought. I just want to get the timing right so I have it next May/June if I actually pony up for one. Have two stamps for a SBR and suppressor pending that I should see in late July and late September.
